As an advertising/marketing platform NALEM is a for profit venture. As such I have no problem accepting money from any client that is legally entitled to do business.

Richard lets be honest with ourselves. This industry has been in self destruct mode for years now. It is easier for people to defer blame unto others for their own failed actions than to accept responsibility.

what i dislike is that he is just another front for .xxx, who will claim to represent our industry, and will use the images as part of the process.

How you are re-inventing the wheel of taking pictures at webmaster event, uploading them to your site then spamming the boards with pictures and links to you site?

JFK has been doing this the longest which makes the other pretty much copy cats. Not that anything is wrong with borrowing a business model and improving on it, if you can do something better than someone else then good on you.

I realize you are a for profit company, but if the only advertiser you can find is an organization like ICM which is hated among most of the industry then you need to re-visit your entire business model.

Regarding ICM Registry, dot XXX ... we proudly represented their brand then, at the height of this industry's hypocrisy. I may be absolutely wrong here, as its been so long ago, but I dont remember actually charging them anything for it. It was at the Ynot Summit in San Francisco, formerly Cybernet Expo run by LAJ and his partner.

Fast forward today, everyone lines up for a piece of ICM Registry sponsorship cash.
