Does anyone know if there is a gay district/neighborhood in Dallas? And if so, what it's called?

I've looked. I have some general ideas but would like to hear from a local.

Oak Lawn. Near downtown. Super gay.

But no way am I gay.

A few years ago when I was visiting a friend in Dallas we ate at some very good restaurants in the Oak Lawn area. The area was full of gay/lesbian bars as well.
