I'd like to say "porn happened" but that wouldn't be fair to the industry because she was probably broken long before she stepped foot into the business, so I'll just say life happened.

Yeah she has some serious issues. she went to jail and when she got out she was clean, sober and called into the Howard Stern show to talk about how she was setting out to get custody of her daughter back from Jesse James and his then wife Sandra Bullock. So Howard says to her "how are you going to make a living and support the kid?" She tells him that she is going to make some quick money doing tranny porn.

He tried to convince her that doing that was a terrible idea. He told her strip or get a regular job or even do more normal mainstream porn, but he tried to explain that if she went before a judge and told him she was making tranny porn to support her kid there would be a decent chance he would not be to open to listening to her case, but in her eyes that was the only option she had left. It was actually kind of sad.

Her life seemed to go to shit when Sandra Bullock decided she wanted her kid w/ Jesse James. Jesse James played some really dirty pool there. Not saying Janine is a saint, and really her own actions after being put in jail didn't help herself, but I do have to wonder if things had played out differently, if maybe his affairs had come to light a year or so earlier and he never sought custody, etc, where she would be now.
