NBA Draftee Lies abount his age

lied to NBA

is 26 not 21 years old.

Dallas picked him then traded him to Portland.

But, he is too old for the draft... Portland LOSES that player and pick.

figures, it was the Canadian Football League, and it happened twice.

For the second time in a year, a Canadian Football League team has drafted a dead player.

The Montreal Alouettes selected defensive end James Eggink of Northern Illinois in the fifth round of the league's Canadian college draft today, only to learn a few hours later that Eggink died of cancer last December.

Last April, the Ottawa Rough Riders sought defensive end Derrell Robertson, who had died on Dec. 5, 1994.

it happened in the NHL as well.

D'oh Canada!

you are right. sorry about that.

Portland received the rights to the no. 57 overall pick in a deal that sent Rudy Fernandez and the rights to 20007 draft pick Petteri Koponen to Dallas. The rights to the no. 26 overall pick (Jordan Hamilton) also came to Portland in the trade. The Trail Blazers then sent Andre Miller, a future second round pick, and the rights to Hamilton to Denver in exchange for PG Raymond Felton.

This is why teams should stick with American players. If you can't pronounce the name without studying it, you probably shouldn't draft the guy.
