Very few companies can compete with the knowledge and technical skills of our company without being located in the Bay Area.


JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an Online Affiliate Manager who is a highly motivated individual that can thrive in a fast pace environment and successfully contribute to the team. Our goal is to find someone who can implement forward–thinking programs and concepts in order to grow overall online revenue stream. This position reports directly to the VP of Sales.

RESPONSIBLITIES
• Find and build new affiliate networks within territory.
• Manage and grow existing affiliate networks.
• Propose new marketing campaigns/programs for Affiliates.
• Provide support for other areas of marketing as needed.
• Work effectively with in house programmers and marketing department on projects.
REQUIREMENTS
• BA/BS Degree or 2-years experience
• Understanding of online marketing
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite applications
• Online affiliate networking experience a plus
• Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to handle multiple-tasks
simultaneously and meet deadlines
• Ability to work well with other departments.

yo to be fair i don't think you would find a company that is so easy to contact, everyone i have ever dealt with there have been fast and efficient they are some of the best guys i have worked with in the industry. Seriously you got to have the wrong company lol .. :2 cents:

Regardless I'd like to know what happened in your situation, if you feel a mistake was made its important we learn from it to make sure it doesn't happen again. Danielle does rock media buys, btw. Look, Klen, I take comments like that somewhat personally. I know our team pretty well and they bend over backwards for a lot of people. I'm quite sorry if you had a bad experience, like I said, I know we can't please people 100% of the time but we do try our best... let me know if there's anything I can do in the future to rectify things.

Thanks for the kind personal words - I just wish I knew who you are!! I don't recognize your screenname here (shame on me for sure). I am sorry if you had a less than 100% awesome experience with our affiliate managers, but I can say that I do know our guys Jay and Brandon usually take *fantastic* care of their affiliates.

Even though I don't deal with affiliates myself, if you can't get in touch with your aff manager for whatever reason, you can always hit me up and I will bug them personally. I rarely have to do this cause Jay and Brandon are ON IT, but shit happens, and we are all here to ensure the best possible results for affiliates and vendors alike.

You guys do just fine, hell you had one of your programmers change code for the RSS section in a short amount of time just because I asked. I know it wasn't some small task anyone could do either.

I've waited weeks for a simple banner from other companies and gave up on it because they always said they're working on it. I asked another popular dating company why there's no pics in their RSS feed, they replied and said add them yourself.

Never had any trouble with DG affiliate managers, great guys all around.

The promo tools are garbage
you can't really compete with aff or fling

no affiliate manager even with a "BA/BS Degree" can't change that.

Hey Oracle, truly sorry you think our tools are garbage, is there something specifically we're missing that makes us "not be able to compete" with those companies, in your mind?

I appreciate your feedback either way, but would love to hear more. We CAN change those things, just not sure exactly what you're describing when you say "garbage". If it's everything we have to offer, like I said, I know we're not going to please everyone 100% of the time, but if its a problem with a specific tool, please let me know... otherwise, appreciate the constructive criticism.

Just go signup to aff/fling and see what they are offering, I don't need to do the job for you.
Go to the biggest free porn sites that advertise dating sites, look at how they are advertising, iframes, im ads, high cpm banners, and everything is quality to get the most out of your hard earned traffic.
Try hiring someone with a PhD maybe that will help. :2 cents:

Hey Oracle, you're certainly entitled to thinking everything we have to offer sucks and I respect the fact that you took the time to let us know that. It shows that as an affiliate you really care about what your promoting and take things like this seriously.

But, at the same time, with that sort of opinion already formed, I am not entirely sure anything I post here will really change your mind at the end of the day. So, therefore I don't think I will try and rebuttal too much.

I will just simply say that I was also an affiliate for a long time and I've promoted every dating site under the sun. DG has all of those tools and then some. I don't have a PHD as you mentioned, but I am fully aware of what else is out there and I personally feel that we have just as much, if not more. And I have more than a few big guys promoting us. Once again, just my opinion. You have yours, I have mine, doesn't look like we're going to meet in the middle anytime soon lol.

I appreciate the feedback, our non-supporters (and dating affiliates in general) are often the most vocal and the only thing I can do is honestly consider what you have to say and then look internally to try and make people like you happy in the future. As we continue to roll out new tools and things like that, I would like to have someone critical like you to run them by to see what you think... if thats ok with you? I went ahead and added you to ICQ for now... let me know if you're down for something like that? :)
