Need to install Win XP on a CDless min notebook via USB... Anybody have GOOD WAY?
Yes I have googled and have a Windows disk... and seeing a million ways this can fail so before I attempt anybody know how to :
on a Dell Mini Put XP install onto USB then install from that onto the formatted flash drive? Thx in advance want to feel to see if anybody has done this with success so far.. -JDL |

I think you can get 'live' USB XP versions...might save some hassle.

External DVD drive is usually what I use to do this. The only OSes I've had luck installing from USB are Linux based.

Did this on my current laptop (dvd drive is dead).
