donnie 06-22-2011 05:33 AM

Is 27,5 supposed to be impressive for ?athletes??

I have seen 12-yearolds jump from Old Bridge in Mostar (Bosnia) and the height there is between 24 and 27 meters.

Chosen 06-22-2011 05:40 AM

I saw something like that in Dubrovnik, Croatia about 2 years ago.

gmr324 06-22-2011 05:46 AM

love that second pic, really puts it into perspective

PornGreen 06-22-2011 06:14 AM

thats not a cliff

candyflip 06-22-2011 06:16 AM

I can't even imagine what that feels like to hit the water at that speed, and I've been able to dive from 10m.

And...jumping off a tall structure and diving off of it are two completely different things.

yeah we went to flug tag last summer, where people build these contraptions, push them off a 40 foot drop, and try to glide/fly the farthest. blast to watch these guys fail/crash into the water. see some interesting things too

k0nr4d 06-22-2011 09:14 AM

Actually from what i've heard they have a hose or pump or something breaking up the water surface near where they hit the water to make it safer

moeloubani 06-22-2011 09:24 AM

A friend of mine just died jumping 80+ feet up, hit the water weird and died instantly

Ya RedBull does a pretty good Job at these type of things. Have any of you ever seen RedBull "Crushed Ice". It's basically full contact racing on Ice Skates.

Maybe the 6 somersaults and twists that sets them apart from the kids not the high :2 cents:

There's nearly 10% more than 3 feet to a meter... so your calculation is not exact at all. :thumbsup

Google says 1 metre is 3.2808399, so the height of the diving platform is just over 90 feet.

epitome 06-22-2011 05:11 PM

27.5 meters = 90.2230971 feet

Geez, I'd think a bunch of webmasters would know that you can type "27.5 meters to feet" in Google and get the answer.

The best part is how far off you were.

If that's the case then I am proud to be an Ameritard.
