The formula works all the time....recently Thailand Got Talent with a ladyboy who sings with his manly and female voice....but this Korean dude is similar to Paul Potts of Britain Got Talent winner. I know most likely the scenes are partly scripted. But it still managed to make me teary eye though

i wish it was true - TV producers and performers are such manipulative fakes that I watch something like that and can't suspend my disbelief that they've manufactured most of this guy's story. that's a shame.

I think the Paul Potts and ugly old heffer were the real deal, but seems like the last few seasons is pre packaged bullshit.

And the UK shows, Especially the X-Factor. It seems that the contestants cannot get past the filtering producers unless the have a sob story.

Something about the "Got Talent" shows...its seems very staged and fake. The set-up, the audience over-reactions -- even the performance.

Not a dry pussy in the audience during his audition. Kid could have banged every girl in there if he wanted.

Sure, it was a sad story but his performance wasn't good at all.

Before few days Croat Idol was won by guy who had "tough life story" and he never smile,wondering did people voted for him just because of humanitarian reasons since his voice is totally bad.
