This is pretty much still a rumor, isn't it? Spreading this kind of misinformation isn't cool unless it is 100% true or you have proof. I think the guy is a tool, don't get me wrong... if the shoe was on the other foot, and it was you that was getting slandered, you would be up in arms. :2 cents:
