SEO Question...
 

I have 2 sites that have made it to 1st page of google for mildly competitive (top 3 for one top 5 for other) two keyword search terms like ***porn or ***shemale. Thing is the site in the top 3 i havent updated for over a year and it only has 10 post on it. The other site has 12 post and no updates for almost a year like 10 months. I get decent traffic and lately I have been wondering if i start to update the site again will it give me an even bigger boost or do i run the risk of dropping? They have both held their positions for 3 months plus.

I would leave them be for a while. If you update them and then they drop, you won't know if it was because of the update or just that Google changed its mind (which it's doing a lot these days).

Actually I didn't read your last sentence - I think it would be safe to update with one single post and then leave for another month or so.

Make sure your post is relevant to the keyword (topic) it is ranked for.

so do update with maybe one post that is revelant to keyword then wait and see...i was thinking of pumping out 2 or 3 a day but i think im going to just the one...
