Below is an email i sent to an affiliate.

Please change all your links to point somewhere else other than hahahahahahahaha program. Your account is on hold and is pending review.

Your account has been placed on hold for the following:

signed up under your own linking code and did NOT notify us.
sent 7 signups all canceled right away.
all signups are from aol or hotmail.
6 of the 7 signups start with the letter 'J'.

I realize that just one of these instances isnt very alarming.. but when all these occur, then we have a problem. We are investigating this further, if you have any questions please email us.

is this appropriate action to take? I dont know.. this is my 1st (possible) scammer :)

seems to me you dont' have a lot of webmasters if you have time to review every single signup every webmaster sends you. But good luck in catching the scammers.

we have this little thing called a 'programmer' and he does really cool stuff like write programs to detect patterns. you should check it out.

He probably is fuckin you... check the IP's that the joins came thru on ... they probably are all the same.

:thumbsup well than you should can him for cheating you. Has a company ever sued a cheater before? cause that would be a good deterant to all of them

well thats exactly why i made this post.. Im the kind of guy that gives the benifit of a doubt.. He is most liley screwing me.. But I am going to investigate it as much as possible and hopefully gain some insight on the proper action to take.

I could ignore him, disable his account and not pay him. thats the easy thing todo. But then you run the risk of possible terminating a non fraud account and also big long GFY threads about how hahahahaha.com didnt pay someone etc..

i dunno.. Ill have to see what epoch says..
its a tough spot to be in.. but pimpdog aint skeered.

hell i wouldn't be surprised if he came on here, said he cheated and thinks he should still be paid.

just send him a fake check, when he tries to deposit it and it bounces, the bank charges him a fee for it

Poor Advice

Its hard to really be sure someone is screwing you. Eventually, though, you have to believe it. This guy can't have an excuse. As long as you have a term that covers it, can his ass.
