In the footage, obtained by TMZ, Nic Cage's long-haired son is beaten to a bloody pulp in front of the Farmer's Kitchen restaurant in Hollywood ... while several spectators stood by and watched.

The footage begins moments after 20-year-old Cage tried to deliver a roundhouse kick to his trainer after the trainer refused to allow Weston to order a certain item off the menu.

After a brief scuffle, the trainer takes Weston down to the ground ... climbs on top of him ... and rains down with a flurry of barely-contested punches to Weston's face. At one point, Weston tries to punch back -- but the trainer blasts him in the face -- once again taking control of the situation.

The trainer kept Weston pinned down on the concrete until cops arrived -- and as TMZ first reported, Cage was eventually handcuffed, strapped to a gurney, and taken to a nearby hospital to be evaluated.

i think that video shows almost everything thats wrong with society nowadays: violence, people who rather film with their phones than help, other people who laugh about someone getting beaten up. things like this make me sick :2 cents:

Shows what society has become. When a person is in danger, people do nothing more than pull out the cell phones and film. The guy was clearly down and out, and it should have been broken up. Even if the guy tried to re-initiate a fight, there were more than enough people to restrain him.

There is a show in the states called What Would You Do? and they setup staged things like this to see the reaction from ordinary people. Like one guy pretended to be extremely wasted and was trying to get into his car to drive. Many people just watched, filmed and let him into the car. Some ladies actually went and tried to stop him. Does make you think, would I pipe up and say something?

Remember that girl we took to the strip club in Vegas? She had no money, no phone and no idea what any of her friends phone number was or the name of her hotel. We took her to the strip club anyhow telling her we would help her find her friends and give her money..

At the club sitting with us She passed out..
It was 4 am and one by one people in our group left the club to go to sleep. We (you and I) were the last ones there tired and we just left her there by hereself sleeping in the chair at the strip club all alone. Confused and no idea where she was.

but when i was bouncer we used to put drunk and passed out guests in cabs and told the cab driver some made up address on the other side of the city when they couldn't talk anymore and we didnt find any ID. I am surely not proud of everything i did - but never at anytime anyone got physically harmed.

this kind of shit where people are standing around gawking and doing nothing isn't new, people do it all the time whether they are filming it or not.

On my trip to New Orleans a few weeks ago we just finished one of those swamp tours and we where waiting around for the bus back and we saw a motorcyclist wipe out on the bridge. He did a cartwheel on the road! Everyone standing around with their mouths open doing nothing. I ran back to the front desk and told them to call 911 (as i didn't know the address) but when i came back to where i was everyone was still standing around doing nothing.. Some other motorists pulled over and the tour guides ran over with first aid equipment. He walked away from it, amazingly enough, but it shocked me that nobody ran over there to make sure he was ok before that.
