How Google-dance works...
Let me see if I got this right...
Google spiders your site once every month or so and google-dance informs you when it spiders. How does it do this? I go to the google dance web site is it gives me results from their 3 servers - all the same. When one of them is different does this mean the spidering has begun? How can I use this to my advantage? When I know spidering has begun can I optimize my site some more because I can see a preview of what my rank will be when the spidering is finished? Max. |

Mrs.Google will spider your site various times during the month and at the end of the month (27-31) the "dance" begins. You will be able to see this "dance" on www2 and www3 and then it will eventually settle (01-05) and bingo - the new index. (Or something like that)

So will optimizing your pages during the 'dance period' have any effect when the dance is finished?

Max,
don't worry about the when just keep working on your site(s). You get refreshes all month long that will move you up or down. The dance tends to stabilize the data for a bit but they do not say when it will happen. Once it starts, it is too late to do anything. |
