OK, I got this old ratty domain which I was never going to use. I get an offer through a registrar's domain buying service and it goes something like this:

"We have received an offer of $250 for your domain. Wanna take it?"

Me: "Fuck you. $1495.00"

Domain buying service: "We have received an offer of $650.00. Wanna take it?"

Me: "Fuck you. $1000.00"

Domain buying service: "We have received an offer of $900.00. Wanna take it?"

Me: "Yep. Fuck you. PAY ME!"

They fucking well did pay me and the transfer is in progess!

This was an old crappy "three word" domain name which I had bought like six years ago but would never have used due to change in business plans.

See the thing is, there had never been like one second of SEO done on it; someone just wanted it and more power to them!
