    Fake TGP... is it worth doing?

    Hi again everyone... first of all, I'm assuming a "fake" TGP is a site that runs a TGP script (or not?) but doesn't accept submissions from anyone but myself. If I'm wrong here please correct me!

    So I'm thinking a fake TGP might be a good way to get my Idolbucks FHG links indexed. Idolbucks (and maybe others?) does this thing where you can insert your own backlinks into their galleries and, voila, you've got a lot of backlinks to your site. SEO worthy? I dunno, but I'm willing to give it a try.

    Any and all input is appreciated! Thanks

    P.S. I'm trying to learn about SEO right now, so if you have recommendations I'm all ears!

      what?

      a TGP = thumbnail gallery post, so if it has thumbnails and is a gallery, then its a TGP

      I dont allow many people to submit to my TGPs, but I dont give a fuck since Im paying for traffic and hosting

          its a really old expression...the original tgps took webmaster submissions, so when sponsor hosted galleries stared appearing, some sites were built using fhgs for 100% of their links...thus the term "fake tgp" ...
          i use Vacares...so should you

                  I always thought of fake tgp's as the ones that sent almost 100% of clicks to trades.

                                      Fake means you will be directing to your own site/sites, circle jerk is linking to other tgp's linking to other tgp's.

                                                              I always thought fake tgps were named that way because none of the thumbs actually led to the picture as the surfer would have expected, they would skim you off to somewhere else 100% of the time

                                                              anyways, read Shemp's free advice post just above this one, that is wisdom

                                                                          that was the evolution process...when a webmaster found out he couldnt be the next Hun by listing all FHGs, he set the script to high skim and tried to get traffic, so he could resell it to a broker...( or something like that)

                                                                                              I got in this racket two years ago when everyone was saying 'there is no money in porn' - I'm not getting rich yet, but I'm paying my bills and saving to start a bigger online venture.

                                                                                              Find a niche. Find KW's that the front page of google isnt all tubes (gonna have to go long tail here in most cases). Buy domains with the kw's in the TLD. Build nice blogs, update them regularly. Profit at 1:500 ratios instead of chasing big traffic and converting it at 1:5000. I've got blogs that get 200 uniques daily and send traffic to programs that convert at 1:200 because the traffic is targetted. Do that a few times and you are making money. $/unique is what REALLY matters

                                                                                              the only real negative I've found to my approach is that my traffic is so niched that sidebar programs (cams,dating,juicy ads etc) dont do jack shit on my sites
