Less interested in objects than actually doing something interesting.

CaptainHowdy 06-02-2011 08:16 AM

Phoenix 06-02-2011 08:18 AM

if your male friend likes to golf get him a nice putter..or a nice driver or something
golfers are easy to buy for

hell id be happy to get a golf lighter..lol

kbauerctu 06-02-2011 08:31 AM

I'd like to get a mountain bike or a kayak. Video games also work well as long as the game makes it on list.

You should know his hobbies. Buy him something that has to do with that.

lilith_pet 06-02-2011 09:17 AM

He doesn't play golf...
Spends hours playing video games, but I don't know shit about them
Anybody can advice a reeelly cool video game that everybody wants to own?)

Badmaash 06-02-2011 09:19 AM

High class hooker

barcodes 06-02-2011 09:20 AM

If you aren't sure maybe a gift card to a gamestop or other video game store. Girls may not dig gift cards as gifts but guys do. We would rather have the money to buy what we want than something we don't like, have to return it or feel bad and not return it etc.

JamesGw 06-02-2011 09:21 AM

Get him The Witcher 2 if he has a decent PC.

lilith_pet 06-02-2011 09:29 AM

Now I'm thinking... How bout I give him some game like that witcher 2 (i don't know what the hell it is but anyway) AND a gift card just in case...

Chosen 06-02-2011 09:36 AM

You should know him better than all the GFY'ers, do you really need strangers advices on that matter?

sleazydoesit 06-02-2011 09:37 AM

A real gift idea!

Give him a Zippo lighter, about $20-30 depending on the design. Even if he has 10 Zippos it's always cool to get another, and even better if he doesn't own any.

If he doesn't smoke cigarettes or joints but does smoke bongs, then go to a smoke shop and ask for a Zippo pipe lighter. If he doesn't smoke anything ever, then go for a funny tshirt.

Trust me just give him the extra money on the gift card lol XD. Guys really enjoy that. Do you know if he plays a video game system like a nintendo etc, or on a computer? Do you know if he plays video games like witcher one or the multiplayer ones like world of warcraft, etc. There are some factors to think about. Some people only liek sports games while others like shooting or fighting etc. Also how good is the computer if hes using one. If his computer isnt great, he wont be able to play certain things.

You could try to be sneaky and tell him you have some free time etc. You see him have fun playing games what does he reccomend thats new, what kind of stuff does he like or what does he play on for research.

Best of luck with it =}

Actually I do... People might have some good ideas, I can consider a few and decide which is the best for him. Strangers advices help a lot

thanks to all, keep going :thumbsup

Sid70 06-02-2011 09:45 AM

A dinner out with Natalie Portman for me, please. Did I say 'a dinner'?

I'll try to be sneaky and find out what he wants, thanks))) If that doesn't work, a gift card will save me

Wish I had enough money, then I'd just end up getting him a zippo AND a video game AND a funny t-shirt AND a gift card AND a hooker... and even Natalie Portman... that would make a real nice present :1orglaugh

I'd like a new exhaust system for my truck... or a really good smoker/bbq for the backyard.

Or a set of three 24" monitors with thin bezels so I can do an eyefinity gaming rig :)
