u-Bob 06-01-2011 02:57 AM

palemoon.

btw: if anyone is going to post "chrome", they didn't read the 'privacy' part :)

scubadiver626 06-01-2011 02:57 AM

Windows ships with IE, that's what most customers use. That's what you should base most of your testing with.

IE 9 sucks balls.

I like previous versions. Hate tabs.

Emil 06-01-2011 03:15 AM

SRWare Iron. As fast as Chrome but without the tracking.

Paul&John 06-01-2011 03:19 AM

never heard of SRWare Iron :)
btw using Opera for adult stuff

seeandsee 06-01-2011 04:47 AM

AdultKing 06-01-2011 04:56 AM

Mosaic is the best. Mosaic FTW!

Double trouble 06-01-2011 04:58 AM

Opera here

calvinawe 06-01-2011 05:01 AM

Chrome gave it away for me so far, gonna stick with it for a while

grumpy 06-01-2011 05:04 AM

SRWare Iron very, very good privacy browser

LongBucksVip 06-01-2011 05:04 AM

Opera for sure! :thumbsup

Jey p 06-01-2011 06:29 AM

elmy 06-01-2011 07:20 AM

Firefoxxxxx

combson 06-01-2011 07:26 AM

Firefox 4 is nice, Chrome is fastest but spying as hell!

Jakez 06-01-2011 07:31 AM

Had to switch to Chrome because FF screwed up somehow I don't remember, but little things that are different in Chrome are starting to really piss me off. Like the buggy saved login system.

Actually SRWare Iron is 3 times faster then Chrome. They both use the Chromium open source, but SRWare Iron does not track and invade your privacy the way Google Chrome does.

sojproductions 06-01-2011 08:04 AM

i prefer chrome, but its not private.. just quick with good tools and nav

Socks 06-01-2011 08:09 AM

Dazzling, what's with your obsession with srware iron? You've made 3 or 4 threads about it, it's in your signature.. What's up?

potter 06-01-2011 08:22 AM

As a developer, I use firefox because nothing tops the tools and functionality it has for developers.

Horny Dude 06-01-2011 08:24 AM

Work stuff I use Firefox, just surfing I use Chrome.

barcodes 06-01-2011 08:30 AM

I use old and new versions ie, ff, chrome and sometimes opera between 2 pcs since I usually have to test with those, but may try that SRWare one for personal stuff. Thanks for the info.

adultchatpay 06-01-2011 09:44 AM

I prefer Firefox!

Barefootsies 06-01-2011 09:45 AM

"Best" is subjective to what you like in a browser.

That being said, I prefer Chrome because SPEED is the most important to me.

JamesGw 06-01-2011 09:49 AM

Chrome is the best browser nowadays. Firefox was up until recently.

I thought I turned that off on installation - isn't it an elective thing?

I use all four major browsers because they're all better than others at somedamnthing...

Antonio 06-01-2011 10:48 AM

When it comes to productivity, nothing beats k-meleon

BTW, I hate this no-menu on top trend, wtf is the use of larger work area if I have to spend minutes finding the well-hidden options

fris 06-01-2011 11:04 AM

i vote chrome

scarlettcontent 06-01-2011 12:45 PM

rephrase... back to google :2 cents:

ArsewithClass 06-01-2011 03:48 PM

Just downloaded opera after not liking rockmelt...

Yes bro.. Nice set up, very spaceage & seems to run very fast. It seems to take over everything without prompting.. :( but, as long as it works well, Im happy. :)

ArsewithClass 06-01-2011 04:57 PM

Sorry to be trolling this thread :( Im seriously not... but most of all, take me as your tryout guy :)

Ive just swapped back to chrome. Opera is so packed with technology, the flash slows it down compared...

My favourite is still Chrome :)

It's my own GECKO powered compilation of old FF and new FF + some more custom stuff. It has no name, well not official because only I use it. Now if we talk about all the mass crap then we have problematic matter. FF was good once in the old 2.0 times the new FF is ugly, buggy and overloaded with Google stuff (all can be stripped though if you are willing to make your own build, it is open source so you are allowed to do what you want with it except using Mozilla trademarks) FF is supported by many useful plugins written by some great programmers too.

As for what should interest webmasters the most which has the most up to date support for the new HTML5 and CSS3 goodness. FF4 and newer Aurora, Nightly etc., right after newest FF I would place Chromium family (Iron, Chrome or Pure chromium binaries). I've checked it. Opera, SeaMonkey and other are behind and too fucking bad because if not that and that Opera's (Spy)Googleware Opera would be quite nice browser.

Internet explorer - Hell no, maybe 6.0 when run on WinXP, it's hard to get anything faster but I wouldn't browse with it anything that is not mine or that I don't know well. Obviously that would be dangerous. 7, 8, 9, and everything newer is and it will suck.

Safari - Please...

Rockmelt - Never tried and somehow I don't feel such need.

Palemoon4 - it's simply FF4 but with old cpu support cut off.

Mosaic - Mmmm sweet memories...

So getting to the point, you should make your own build of FF, throw away useless shit along with Google spyware and add what you like and need. If you can't then I have bad news for you, you are doomed.

Btw if you are on linux then IceCat is a bit nicer than FF.

I was wondering once if I should keep my browser only for my self or to give it a way for ppl along with some nice gui and cool name but the thing is that I have no time to answer ppl questions, provide support, update frequently and so on.

Do you know what pisses me off the most in all browsers? That every one renders a websites its own way. My head hurts when I try to satisfy them all.
