Rudely awakened at 11:15...
 

I got a phone call at 11:15am, while I was still sleeping, I picked up only to hear some dipshits voice, I hung up. The only reason I picked up was because I was waiting for a phone call from a relative that?s flying, otherwise I would have had another 3-4 hours of good sleep.

My question is, in times where spammers are getting sentenced to years in prison, how are these cocksucker telemarketers able wake me up on a Saturday morning at 11am ???

Isn?t telemarketing the worst kind of spam, (other then the girl scouts that show up at your door step) personal and high involving?

The difference is the telemarketers actually pay for their services. Where as the spammers put the costs on ISPs.

a telephone telemarketer is way worse than an email spammer, i can filter spam very easily, i can't put a block on telemarketers. Much more of an invasion of privacy than email spam.

I TOTALLY agree.. and they are some rude fucks when you say "I'm not interested"..... I've had them wake me up at 7:00AM and THAT one pisses me off to no end, then they act like I am being a bitch when I scream at them for waking me up........

When they start harrassing me, I give the phone to my husband and tell him to scream....... I don't get alot of the same ones calling me back more than once.. :1orglaugh

Oh I love doing it... I am all sticky sweet to most of them if they are calling back...... and I can recognize most of the voices...... if they are calling back after I have warned them about calling me again...... I am all sappy sweet to them and ask them to please hold...... then I let him have them..... LMAO

Some states are creating global "do not call" lists-

If you're on the list you get an unrequested solicitation call from within your state, the calling party gets a fine that goes in your pocket. This is also true if you individually say "place me on your do not call list" and they keep calling. Each call = more money.

There's also a national list... I think it has to go through congressional approval or something.

Say "I am right in the middle of something now, could you hold on for a moment?". Then lay down the horn next to the phone and go do something else. Remember to put it back on the phone after a minute or 15.
