Battlefield 3 is going to be a wild fucking ride
 

I will rather not even start to play it, because Battlefield 2 was so amazing online that it almost ruined my life :)

The next generation consoles and games are going to be incredible.

Modern Warfare 3 comes out Nov. 8th and I think BF3 will try and beat that release date by a week or so. Forza 4 comes out about the same time.

It's going to be a great time to be a gamer :)

Fuck Activision and Modern Warfare 3.. Check out this Call of Duty Elite shit they're putting out, they want more money to play online for added "bonuses".

I have no problem paying for expansion packs but when they release a new game every year, a couple of map packs at 15 and now want us to subscribe to something else, they can shove it up their asses. I am sick of running through the same areas in maps every 30 seconds as well.

That being said, I will be buying BF3.

Battlefield 3 Graphics and Game Play seems very realistic. They can even move around bodies lying on the ground. They can try to heal injured soldiers. They move to rooftops to eliminate snipers. They can even use hands to move wires, tools, hardware, tables, chairs, etc. Lighting and shadows look great. They can even fist fight with much accuracy.

Damn straight! I had yet to see some maps on BF2 even after playing for months and months and still haven't fought in every area.

I might be alone on this, but I find all of those Call of Duty games to be more and more ridiculously over the top James Bond type of stories -- as opposed to how it started-- as a realistic squad based campaign. Every one of those games is just becoming "the installment of the year", and the same old shit every time.

And games like this are not the same like other games in the past.

I don't really think one of those images is better than the other. They're obviously from different renderers, with different lighting and exposure. It's more a matter of you liking the shiny looking one better.

The XBOX and PS3 are capable of the same level of graphics, it's just a matter of what the software developers do with the hardware.

yeah i find that as well. They are still good though, but battlefield you can really get lost in. Two had some huge ass maps and tonnes of upgrades and mods... loved it.

Graphics aside, i thought GT5 was fucking shit. I've been meaning to trade it in for months...

:thumbsup I believe a good game with shitty graphics is better than a bad game with amazing graphics. Kind of goes against what I said about Forza being better because the graphics are more realistic, but Forza has kicked Gran Turismo's ass in the fun department ever since it first came out.

I still play GTA San Andreas Multiplayer, the graphics are old and the platform is buggy since they hacked the PC version up to create a multiplayer, but it's more fun than any console game I've ever played.

Well I was just at the drinking age when pong came out and I remember going out at night to the hottest bar in town and waiting in line for about an hour for my turn to play pong :)

I guess thats why I find it hard to complain about anything being made today because I know first hand how far its come. That BF3 trailer is jaw dropping to me and I can't wait to see what comes next :thumbsup

We still play BF BC on a semi daily basis. The wife is going out of town tomorrow until saturday, and I will be all over that sucker!

Case in point...I was hopelessly addicted to Angry Birds for a month, and my ps3 got no actin during that time.

That said, I'd still rather play a GOOD high end game on my PS3. I think people get a little too snobby about how graphics look, but I still like the tech side of games, even though its secondary in importance.

I play GTA4 like crazy. The graphics are good of course, but what is really alot of fun is are the physics. I'll give up on the missions just to drive around, crash into things and create havoc. My favourite iphone games are Flight Control good old Space Invaders. Basic graphics but fun. GTA Vice City was very fun too.

There are so many awesome games coming out in the next year. You have BF3, Skyrim, MW3, Mass Effect 3, Duke Nukem Forever. The Witcher 2 just came out.

I've been keeping an eye on this one for a while. I was not a big BF fan, but this one looks like a purchase. They have already made the claim that this will be a COD killer. Going to be a tough choice for some people since MW3 is coming out around the same time.

Damn looks like they are trying to go after the solo/coop player market with missions content to rival Call of Duty.

Pretty nice looking graphics, but the enemy AI looked dumb as balls.
