best way to resize animated .gif without losing animation?
 

whats the best utility for this, just want to resize a large to small without losing the animation.

not sure if ffmpeg can do this?

i've always used Ulead gif animator to scale gifs, create gif animations etc and i am sure you can find that still available.

Adobe Fireworks can handle it

on the server or desktop?

I use Animation shop.

Photoshop can do it fine .... FILE >> IMPORT >> frames as layers

best way to reduce size is reduce physical dimensions ... but you also should look into reducing number of colors, and even number of frames.

second that ... but you always have to adjust the time per frame :winkwink:

I would use Fireworks to do that for sure. Fireworks rocks for animated gifs.

I would guess it can be done with imagemagick... :thumbsup

Photoshop does this with ease, did it today myself.

ill try fireworks today, never used it before, have creative suite, but only use photoshop and adobe flash

On another not does anyone know how to convert a swf flash object to a gif?

adobe flash media encoder you can select gif as output

I actually didn't know that it could be resized without loosing the animation. Now i do know.
