I was expecting the worst, and while this wasn't the worst, it was pretty damn bad. :2 cents:

I haven't seen the Hangover 2 yet, but for me the first one was just a "grown up" version of Dude where's my car? Not classic, not even particularly original.....

even if a newspaper like the nytimes gives a movie a bad review, i dont base my decision on seeing it on that, if i think it looks good i will usally see it and base my own opinion.

i will see hangover 2 regardless, because i loved the first one, and the fact the other movies out dont seem to good right now.

this why I like using the consensus at Rotten Tomatoes. The wisdom of crowds is more reliable than what some asshole who got up on the wrong side of bed thinks.

BTW, the consensus at RT is that Hangover 2 sucks.

I don't even bother reading reviews anymore. Seems every time I did in the past, 99% of the time I disagreed with what someone else (or a critic) said.

Gonna check it out to see for myself.

My problem with the movie -- it was the same, exact movie was the first one, just take out Vegas and insert Bangkok, and make it more extreme.

Sure, there were some funny jokes. If they woulda taken a RISK and done something different I would have liked it more.

But producers will be producers, and in the end, it's all about making a "safe bet".

I haven't seen it yet, but I expect it to essentailly be the same as the first. One of the trailers I saw had one of the characters saying the line, "I can't believe this is happening again." So for me it was a given that it would be very similar to the first.

Either way, I'll wait for it to be On Demand.

would have been WAY funnier if they rehired the ex cunt gf to be wife....starting movie showing the 2 of them making up...getting married....then send stu to bangkok for dentist meeting and all the guys go for the bachelor party....the whole asian wife and her dad thing sucked... using the x bitch would have made it funnier....imp

Its a great movie. But you'll only like it if you loved the first one, if you didn't don't bother.

It wasn't nearly as good as the first, but was well worth the price of the ticket. It wasn't hilarious 100% of the time like the first. This has a bit more drama in it than I expected.

I agree with you on that. The one thing about it was that everything just kinda seemed mashed together this time around like it was all over, but maybe that's just me, ha ha.

I saw it yesterday, not the best but was fun!

I'm gonna wait another week or so before checking it out because i hate the theatre when it's packed...
