Hosting?
I have been with Phatservers for a couple of years now, $150 for unlimited storage and bandwidth etc. Things have been good but lately, they are only doing support through email and never answer their phone. I've emailed them several times over the past few days about an issue with my MySQL hanging and timing out but no responses.
I think it's time to find a new host. Anyone know of anyone I can get the same deal for the same or less with quality support? I dont really want to leave Phatservers because they typically help with anything from script installs, troubleshooting etc and have always been good but I dont know whats happening lately. Thanks |
I've never had a problem with Amerinoc/Phatservers. They've always answered support emails in a timely manner.
CertifiedHosting is also managed and has good support. They probably have a similar plan. Also check out my sig for coupons :thumbsup |

i moved away months back they are nothing like they use to be ..i was with them lest 6years ...
check out http://www.cyberwurx.com/ not sure if they will do the same but the hosting is best out there |
I'd recommend NationalNet.
They're all over my support requests. |
Word of advise, don't use Godaddy cause they will fuck you, finger you in the ass, wipe shit on your dick and balls and everything else. What and who i can recommend you to speak to is a guy named Al. Currently working for Paxum and a few affiliate programs that i know of. He has direct connection to a great hosting company called http://dedico.com/. Dude is the best support guy i ever came across. Al can be contacted on Skype @ al_paxum. His ICQ is around here on GFY if you don't have Skype. Hit me up and I'll track him down for you. Best of luck to you.

I have hosting accounts with almost all the adult hosting companies that post on here plus a few others. my advice is to think twice before you move from amerinoc. Seriously it only gets worse with the others. I'm not saying that amerinoc is the best and perfect 100% of the time. Just that no one is perfect 100% of the time and that you won't find better support any where else. Some might be just as good but not better. Certainly for the price and hastle of moving its really a waste of time.

b) Cheap c) Fast You can only pick two. If you want quality, I would recommend Mojo. My tickets are answered in less than a minute most times. |

Sad to hear. I know one of their techs and he specifically is very good. However
if you are moving out of there please contact me. We are less than 1 mile from your server. I hope it works out, I know moving hosts is a pain. |
I'd ask Baddog.

Move to NakedHosting / CertifiedHosting :thumbsup

Stand up of you. BTW, we pointed out to the OP shortly after this thread that his dynamic IP was on two RBL spam lists and that is why his emails didn't make it through, we gave him the info he needed to contact RR about the issue. :winkwink: |
Those RBLs really are a pain in the rear sometimes. Legit mail gets blocked. Thank god were not like making money or anything here on the internet ya know? I mean like im sure theres absolutely no important email that has to get through, so ya know its ok that they just block everyone because of one bad one. (sarcastic)

We have had customers email us as well and got blocked. Sucks but happens.

"I don't think that's ever been a prob at NatNet."
It hasn't been a problem here because we really push our web interface or live chats. Funny. You obviously do not understand filtering and the fact that Nat Net would have no control over them not receiving their customers emails. That is why we use a ticket system that offers a web based option to login and submit tickets through. The problem is that everyone must use spam filtering otherwise so much spam would fill up support email addresses making it useless. If the customer happens to be on a network that just got on some RBL then they would not realize it, nor would nat-net, until after the customer gets mad about it. That is, and will be a big problem. Yes, the argument can be made that we can whitelist customers email addresses, however customers don't adhere to sending from the same address all the time and some of them get new email addresses as often as they change underwear. The best solution is using the web interface or calling the support line. If its urgent, never rely on email. Thats my rule of thumb. Agree or not, its the way email is on the internet today. I just thought of one way it could be handled but again no guarantees: Customer could be forced to put a specific string in the subject when submitting an email ticket. That might allow the isp to whitelist them as they arrive. Im sure you can all come up with many solutions to this type of problem, and that is WHY it is a problem. If you have to think about it soooo much that you have to come up with many scenarios to solve it and none are 100%, then it's an unreliable solution no matter what in my opinion. |
No problems with Gatorhost or Webair.

give a try to naked/certified then u wont need another host.
