Check out this badass keyboard I got!!

Check this out, my husband called me in the next room and I was bitching because I had just sat down and had to get back up again..lol

This baby is aluminum on the front with indented letters, so MAYBE, just maybe I'll still have letters on it by the time it wears out...... I am in love with it.

That looks suspiciously like my old Zippy keyboard I got for $22. It worked fine, just wasn't quite the right feel.

Girls and fingernails + Keyboard...

Aluminum is not good enough, try Kevlar keyboard.

Because she want to be able to do stuff with her computer.

All mac-users say their macs are so stable, that's because there isn't any applications to run on mac osx. :1orglaugh

Tell me about it.

I hardly get a goddamn thing done with the few programmes that work: Coda, Skype, Transmit, Photoshop, Adium, MAMP...

Chosen 05-26-2011 02:20 AM

Nice keyboards here :)

Nydahl 05-26-2011 02:21 AM

still got my logitech from 2001 - works for asshole like me :pimp

kane 05-26-2011 02:25 AM

That looks sharp as hell. Sadly if I don't use an ergonomic keyboard I get some serious pains in the wrist and hands.

Pseudonymous 05-26-2011 02:27 AM

I don't like ones with a smaller enter key. I end up hitting the slash far too often.

I've never used a Mac, but everyone keeps telling me I should switch. The rumors I've heard of not being able to run many of the programs I currently use is what keeps me from making that move.

The keys on this one are very low, almost like a laptop keyboard, which is going to take some serious getting used to. :upsidedow

plsureking 05-26-2011 06:46 AM

this thread is really about a keyboard? wow.

Caligari 05-26-2011 06:53 AM

Mac is the best for graphics, video editing, anything creative.

PC is the best for office, mundane stuff, heavy volume, in other words 95% of what people do with computers.

That is my understanding of it, all the things that I can't do are done on a Mac, so a PC is good enough for me. I am a complete fool when it comes to trying to do a thing on a computer that involves artistic ability.

spazlabz 05-26-2011 07:12 AM

those are some sweet key Tam, very nice

If all it takes are rumours to influence you when it comes to how you spend thousands of dollars, you must be a marketers dream!

Go to an Apple store and ask one of the sales people all of your questions you have, then sit and play with a Mac for 10 minutes or an hour.

Macs run everything, including Windows.

In the almost 3 years that I've been using macs, I have found only 1 problem: While there is a version of Quickbooks for Mac, it is not compatible with the CANADIAN data format that Quickbooks for Windows users. (I know, sounds silly).

Mac's are fast and slick. Click http://www.apple.com/ca/imac/

No, that isn't all it takes, I just never have had any first hand experience with them. I have an old Mac here in my house that just needs an OS and I just haven't gotten it yet, just so I could play with it a bit. None of the stores around me have or sell Mac's so getting some hands on with one hasn't been an option.

A lot of people have told me that they have made great improvements on them in the last number of years, I just haven't been in a place where I can get some hands on with one yet. I WANT to though.... they look badass. I am just not sure that they wouldn't be too much for me and my own abilities. lol

Wrong. Not true at all.

for 95% of the people a Mac would be a better choice.

Listen to what everyone tells you, they tell you that for a reason.
Don't believe the rumors, those people haven't tried a Mac, or tried it like 6 years ago.

Dwreck 05-26-2011 08:08 AM

funny this turned into a Mac thread...

Props on the keyboard Tam.. I wanna new one now :)

Almost as tiresome as you are. You're in every computer thread yammering on about how stupid and pointless fanboyism is. Shut the fuck up already.

Slick 05-26-2011 08:46 AM

I can only use ergonomic keyboards like the Microsoft Natural Ergonomic keyboards
http://solutions.neilsquire.ca/image...mic%204000.jpg
Nothing can compare !!

CDSmith 05-26-2011 09:10 AM

I like the straight-up no nonsense keyboards. Mouse too for that matter.

Here's what I'm rocking right now:

The incredible MK300...

I think it was less than fifty bucks, heh. Does the job, liking it so far.

You sound like a human billboard.

Mac users crack me up. I have nothing against Mac's, except their annoying zombies.

thickcash_amo 05-26-2011 09:47 AM

since I have a laptop, I dont use a special keyboard. I like it better that way

Tam 05-26-2011 11:00 AM

I've always used Logitech keyboards, but the letters fade off of them so fast, I guess I talk to much and that's proof of it. Hopefully this one won't have that issue as they are more indented than painted or raised. If I can find a keyboard that holds the letters, I'll be golden.

The one I just took off this pc had more than half the letters missing, how I managed to type is beyond me. lol
