On May 25, 2011 NASA finally pulled the plug on one of the world's greatest Mars explorers, the rover Spirit. The six-wheeled robot landed on Jan. 3, 2004 on the Red Planet and was expected to last about three months so NASA definitely got its money worth out of the little guy.

Here's a quick tour of some of the biggest discoveries and accomplishments made by Spirit. Here's one of the first looks sent back to Earth by Spirit a day after it landed. Note its air bags in this image.

No dude the next camera is about to be launched to Mars within a few weeks/months. It will be much larger and has some new goodies on board. Among wich a laser wich in can shoot at a hard to reach rock and with a robotic camera make out the components of the material.

A Manned Mars mission isnt planned for the next 20 years!

Oh well after looking for a animated pic i see the noobs at the jet propulsion laboratoria made a hardware mistake and the launch has been delayed. What a pitty i was looking forward to new Mars pics.

Aliens are living underground. They need to dig in there if they want to see them.
