So I wanted to continue our discussion about what you think Judaism is all about, and I sat down with my Rabbi over lunch and showed him the links to the news stories and the quotes from the Talmud, since I was truly interested in what these things were all about. We ended up in a long discussion. (He's a very cool and funny guy, you would probably like him... Kind of a twisted sense of humour actually! :) ). Obviously I'm no talumdic scholar, nor was I completely sure about the Rabbinical setup in Israel, so it was really cool to find out the whole picture.

Anyway, I wanted to get you guy's email or phone number or whatever so I could talk to you guys about what he said....


....that is if you are truly interested in learning about it.

i will take you up on your offer briefly , no offense but it is like arguing with the WBC. You get your answers from someone obviously in some way biased to the argument. He is never going to say the truth, the fundamentals of our religion are wrong, but that isn't to say there aren't thousands of good lessons to be learned from judaism and the torah and you can still be a good jew.

btw kudos for bringing up these questions to your rabbi, but really you should be able to figure them out yourself , and obviously get a second opinion :)
