Do youn prefer to use small businesses or big business?

I have always tried to spend my money with small businesses, but I realize latly with buying trends corporations are growing and small business is dieing.

My guess is people do not care to keep their money with small business anymore. :Oh crap

I will buy from a small business whenever I can even paying a little more.

I absolutely prefer to support "the little guy." Without them, there is no choice in the "free market!"

the little guy will go further for you usally to earn and keep your business, but still use both, whatever the service is better at.

price + SERVICE

Small businesses get first chance but when they turn out to be like my local Village Shop / Post Office and run by a complete wanker I don't give a shit if their business fails.

I don't really care, will buy from whoever will give me the best "deal"... (not necessarily price, but overall best experience, etc)

I see this more often now.

Interesting most value comes with quality. And rarely do you get with larger companies and mass produced products from China.

Big for me.

I'd rather give my money to a local owner-operated business than a large corporation. The kind where the owner is often the person behind the counter and remembers your name when you walk in the door. Yeah try getting that kind of service at Best Buy, Home Depot, or Walmart.

I live in a pretty small town so most of the businesses are smaller. There are plenty of chain stores too, but a lot of people, myself included, support the small ones. I kind of like when you walk into the butcher shop and they know you by name or when you go to the grocery store and the people that work there know you. The grocery store I go to will even do special orders. If they don't have something you want, they get it for you which is pretty cool and I think it goes a long way towards building up lasting customer bases.

The one exception I have is there is a local computer store and the guy that owns it is a dick so for that kind of stuff I just order online or go to Fry's.
