probably because priests who molested, were rotated out to other churches where they continued to molest and thus were rotated to another church. and so on. Making it seem like there were alot of priests molesting when in reality it was a few who were tranfered all over the place and molested again and again

Seems like it was a good move for pedos to become priests, because once caught they were moved to a different church and allowed to molest over and over instead of turning them in to the police

I'm going to hazard a guess that Woman (ever since Eve and that damned apple) is evil and the cause of the downfall of Man. So playing around with other "men" is less evil. Maybe guys that have feelings toward men go into the clergy because its an easier lifestyle for a man that wants to keep his gayness in the closet. No one will ask why he's not with a woman.

As for why they go after boys, it's probably all about targets of opportunity.

I think it has to do with a shit ton of the priests in the Catholic religion. They went in knowing they could molest little boys. They are bad people and the church didn't, doesn't and won't screen them out. If they did perhaps 30% of the priests would be booted and guess what? The church would have to acknowledge that they are a safe heaven for these types of people. That they knowingly allowed them to molest even more children. That would look really bad for them worldwide don't you think?

Compare the abuse numbers to babysitters, you will find more people getting attacked by them than priests. The point SHOULD be that people shouldn't leave their kids alone with strangers, no matter who it is.
