ICQ Max connecdtions reached
 

I am getting this error, from what I understand it could take anywhere from 30 minutes to a few hours to reconnect... anyone else have this error before and if so how long did you have to wait? :helpme

It's always different. May take from few minutes to few hours.

still won't connect and I have to admit my patience is rapidly running out :mad: I think I had something like 8 conversations running at the time grrr

If by chance you have an alternative internet connection, mobile for example, try to connect ICQ using that connection.

Yeah it is buggy and inconsistent but until there is something that is as almost universally accepted by the industry as ICQ is I'm stuck with it

Yep, i get this error from time to time. Usually it takes several minutes to reconnect.

Have you tried ICQ 2 Go? Off the ICQ.com website.

The only problem with that is that you don't get to save your history properly, but I've found it sometimes works when I'm having ICQ troubles. Might be worth a try

Sometimes a total reboot of my computer, or modem, or router, can fix it too.

Yup, been like that for years but most webmasters are on it so it's still needed. Otherwise i'd have got rid of that shit long ago...

Using ICQ on Pidgin and never had a problem ever.

I use QIP Infium and usually dont have any problems at all. I can bring up ICQ 7.4 no problem but all my history is on QIP and it is still not connecting grrr

icq's been acting up again lately.

been dropping lots of messages for the past 2 weeks...

did you download the latest version? They have this update lately, i used to drop a lot but it's working 100% now.

NO icq problems here, got trillion on my home laptop, Just ICQ at work
