I just got my Wisdom tooth pulled.
 

I just got back from the dentists a little while ago. I had my left Wisdom tooth extracted (Upper left, in the back).

Actually, it wasn't that bad. The doc really numbed me up good. It's been over two hours now and I'm feeling no pain. The whole left side of my face is completely numb. I've become a drooling idiot.

The dentist didn't hook me up with anything good, just a few 600mg Ibuprofens.

I am so glad I finally got this done. I have been in agonizing pain lately. I haven't been sleeping hardly at all.

Overall, it wasn't as bad of an experience as I thought it was gonna be.

My 18 year old son gets to have all 4 of his done in about 3 weeks. Dentist says it won't be pretty. None of them have broken through yet and they all have deep roots.

I had all 4 of my wisdom's tooth pulled at once a year back. Mm.. good soup.

He has to be prepared to only consume liquid foods for a few days... McD's milkshakes feel.. oh so good on the sore gums. :)

I had 2 upper wisdom teeth pulled a few months ago and I was scared shitless going in there, but it was a breeze, I didn't feel a thing, even after it was over, I never felt any pain.

SO, if anyone else has to have it done, don't worry, it's a piece of cake :)

I had 3 of mine extracted the last day of December. Kinda sucked, cause I had to miss some new years parties and couldnt eat solid food for about 3 days.

Few plus's = drugs (750mg of loritab, 25mg of vioxxx) and one receptionist girl that worked there was hot as shit. The surgeons office was called "Oral and Facial" something or other, I would've loved to give the receptionist an oral and facial.

surgery was a piece of cake, no pain, slept through it like a baby. Only thing that sucked was the IV.

i had all 4 done, i actually enjoyed it... lol.. just make sure you ice your cheeks for a few days after its done or your gonna look like a hamster.

I need to get mine pulled.... do they pull them, or just cut them out

depends if they've broken through the gums and if they're impacted or not. Mine were impacted, it sucked ass.

mine impacted and partially broke when they came in. they were pretty painful a couple years ago, but they're fine now.

had all four of mine done a long time ago... one at a time. The first one, the guy actually managed to break a pair of pliers trying to get it out. Teeth of steel I guess. Gave me Percocet for every one of mine... I stayed doped for two days.

The secret to getting wisdom teeth pulled is this:

Leave town for Internext then wait until the pain is so intense that you are almost in tears even when Drunk, High, and loaded with shitloads of painkillers. THEN...On the last day of Internext...Call your dentist and tell them you will be home tomorrow and want to come in as soon as they are open and have the wisdom tooth pulled.

Sit back and enjoy the flight home as the pressure in your head increases with the altitude. Stay awake and savor the pain until the dentist office is open then go in there and have the sucker yanked.

If you follow my personally proven method then by the time the dentist starts yanking on your tooth, you will be in so much pain that the thought of a rusty pair of pliers and an epileptic assistant will sound soothing.

Once the tooth is gone you will still be in pain but your body will not know it because of the shock you have just put yourself through.

Just for kicks...Get the dentist to prescribe you Vicodin and pop 2 or 3 of those + 800mg's of Ibuprofen.

This method is flawless. Another thing you can do is tell the dentist that you lost your ass in Vegas so that they will feel sorry for you and only charge you half price for the extraction.

Had mine pulled on the 10th. Still have about 10 Vicodin left. :glugglug

I had all mine pulled in one day and I was eating pizza the same day! LOL! No shit!

Pain killers aren't the best. They are okay for very short term use and that's all. Pain killers made my life a nightmare actually ( I wont get into it ) and I cringe whenever I hear about them. Just remember to take them as LITTLE as fucking possible. Nomore than a week ever!

Damn, sounds like shit. I have to go in real soon and have all of mine ripped out. OUCH! I can't barely even think about it without hurting. :helpme

whatever you do, just make sure and heed the dentists advice about not smoking afterwards.... or sucking on straws, or cocks or anything else that replicates the sucking action.... or you'll likely get what's called a "dry socket" in the hole that was once your tooth.... and it will be more painful than the tooth ever was.... I shit you not.
