TBH, I don't really like him but... He is a good choice for that role, I bet he could make it work. The problem is if people are interested in seeing the show after Sheen's pretty much trashed the identity of it by being a fucking raving moron.

Until now the casting has been genius. Poor choice for a lot of reasons. Just kiss Charlie, make up, pay him more and print money for another 5 years.

Don't get me wrong ... Punk'd is some funny shit, and a few of Ashton's movie roles were 'decent' ... but his style of humor is not what Chuck built up Two and a Half Men with.

Bomb. Kutcher is too young. When they were hinting around at Rob Lowe I thought they might have had a shot, but unless they replace Cryer as well the dynamic is going to be totally thrown. Too large of a generation gap.

The dynamics of the entire cast made the show what it is/was.
Sheen was the kingpin but replacing Jon Cryer would have been a huge blow also. The entire cast just "clicked" in a way that can't really be duplicated. Their stage persona's fed off each other in such a way that pushed the show to the very top.

Love Sheen, couldn't give a fuck about that show.

Rob lowe would have been a pretty good choice, he can pull off comedy pretty well oddly enough.
