ABC Primetime News: The Bad side of Porn
ABC Primetime News: The Bad side of Porn
Did anyone else catch the featured segment tonight on ABC New's Primetime show? I know there was another post letting people know it was coming on, but here are some followup links on ABC's site about the broadcast: http://abcnews.go.com/sections/busi...orn_020325.html http://abcnews.go.com/sections/prim...ove_030123.html What do you think??? |
Watching it right now. to me it doesnt look that bad.. yet.
|
We are in San Jose watching it and strangely the station is having problems and is showing the rainbow stripe screen. Coincidence??
I saw the first half though and I love how they chose to show scenes of girls getting slapped in the face. Sheeesh. |
yeah same here abc went dark on me :(
missed the last half.. |
Somehow, to TV specials, "pornography" seems to consist entirely of mean spirited, misogynistic b/g videos. Stills, gentle solo girl stuff, g/g...they hardly seem to exist for ABC, CBS, NBC, and CNN.

hahahaha Lars :) Fucking KGO!

Steamers Lane Dawn patrol tomorrow? You up for it??? :) |
Do they really expect that a girl making her first movies is going to earn the same as the CEO of the company?
Stupid. Does the guy on the assemply line plucking chickens make the same as Frank Purdue? Does the local weatherman make the same as the CEO of ABC? There are risks in making porn. No shit. Like there are no risks being a cop, fireman, soldier, coal miner, meatpacker, ect. How about college football. About 1% of the guys make it to the NFL and many of the rest get serious injuries so that the companies like ABC can make millions. |
Fuck, missed it....links also say "content unavailable"

It was a very biased look at the porn industry.
It made porn look so ... dirty. :glugglug |
One thing I did like, they showed that everyday, normal people are in the industry. It's not like we are all sex crazed, drug addicts, that are into for cracked out reasons. One thing I did see them place emphasis on...the money. All in all, I didn't think it was too bad, but they tend to not show the backbone of the industry. Not once did they mention the owners, marketing people, etc. that bust their ass, and they make it sound like we aren't college educated and that it was almost a last resort to get into the industry. My :2 cents:
