How Facebook Determines what appears in the newsfeed

If you've ever wondered how FB determines which content appears in the feed, here's your answer

It?s been reported that only 0.2% (2 in 1000) of Facebook updates you could be exposed to will actually be promoted to your News Feed. That means you may never see that photo of your ex-coworker?s new baby, catch when that girl you sat next to on the bus in 1997 ?Liked? Taco Bell, or when your chiropractor enjoyed a reuben sandwich.

Nice if you're a tool with 1000 not-really-friends, but it's annoying when you keep your list a little smaller and more intimate. Another quiet change that you only find out about because you have a couple of friends that post just about anything viral. :thumbsup

i spent 15 minutes the other day clearing bullshit app spam from my so called friends and the stupid inane shit they put on their walls.

I did use the 'Hide all updates' on a couple of people already, nice option
