GFY Military experts, Step inside.........

Any insights on the helicopter destroyed in the raid ? You hear about all these black ops stealth helicopters, they mostly remain subject of speculation.

Here we have that tail section, looks rather intriguing. I love mechanical gadgets, so any opinions on the machine ?

I think it's framed, and that is some kind of toy they dumped there to looks like real battle there...

It's in China by now.

Even the paint that fucking thing was done up with is a science marvel.

JFK 05-07-2011 10:18 AM

here is an article about it

DWB 05-07-2011 10:31 AM

Lets look at realistic facts.

1) If US military craft that is so sensitive was really laying in Pakistan, under no circumstances would the US gov allow it to remain or be given to China. They will be picking it up soon if they have not already.

2) If Pakistan is a "friend" of the USA, they would not turn it over to China. If they did, that may stop funding to Pakistan.

This is nothing more than media hype.

MediaGuy 05-07-2011 10:40 AM

Heard it was probably being shipped to China, where they've been trying to develop stealth choppers for years...

:D

Deputy Chief Command 05-07-2011 10:44 AM

my sources have confirmed the shipment with all the usable parts of the crashed chopper have made it safely to china at 4pm eastern standard time

Your right. The press has very little details and they are looking to create stories.

When we say "stealth helicopter", keep in mind that they are talking about radar. These fuckers are still loud.

MaDalton 05-07-2011 11:25 AM

it's pretty obvious that it's a new stealth, low noise helicopter they were able to hide so far from the public...

It obviously has vibration dampening and stealth technology integrated in its design. I hope the US gets the debris back ASAP.

The tail isnt canted to defeat radar. It's canted to provide adition lift. Much like the aditional lift the CH-53E gets from its angled tail. I don't want to further speculation about the whole thing but it looks legit. Whoevers plane it was they did what they could to destroy it, which is exactly what would be expected of them in that situation.

They should use that vibration dampening technology on some vibrators cause some of them are so fucking loud half the street knows when your misses is using one

onwebcam 05-07-2011 01:35 PM

I've seen one that could be considered stealth you couldn't even hear it coming until it got around the side of the building. We were moving some storage near where it was landing and it came right around the side of the building where we were. It was unlike any one I've ever seen. After seeing it several years ago I couldn't find anything that compared to it online. It was being used to make sure planes didn't get near the city around anniversary of 9/11.

So what does Israel do? - disassemble them and sell them to China. Israel was also caught selling our F-15 advanced radar to China when they decided to use their own. In short, they took our own military technology that cost billions and billions of our tax dollars and sold it to China to pay a loan guarantee we gave them. So no, it would not surprise me is Pakistan sold it to China.

Valid point.

I don't know how many billions of dollars they dumped into this thing that couldn't fly over an 18 foot wall, but you can bet your ass if it was that important to the USA, they would allow Pakistan to so much as piss behind it.

They flew in without being noticed the first time, they could do it again to destroy what's left of it, if they were really inclined to do so. Or just cut off aid to Pakistan. But they have done neither.

My point is, if it was THAT important, it would have already been dealt with one way or another.

Relentless 05-07-2011 02:57 PM

No helicopters were used in the raid.
That is just a diversionary prop planted by the seal team on purpose.
They knew the press would canvass the area when Osama was killed.
So they used that opportunity to also plant false intel to distract our enemies from our actual tactics.

Nothing to see here. Please move along.

We gave the plans to the lafayette class submarine to the french and they gave it to the Soviets, this has been going on for a long time

The helicopter is an impressive invention. It is better than a plane in some ways. A helicopter can hover above the ground in the same spot above the ground. A plane has to fly fast constantly.

This is outside of my realm of military expertise...but I have a friend...who is the son of one of my old comrades in arms...that is an active duty helicopter pilot (was an Army Ranger for 6 years and has been a helicopter pilot for 14 years)...who notified me some time ago that he was being trained on a new type of helicopter...but said he could not go into any details. Makes me wonder now about the type of helicopter he was being trained to fly.

The Seal team flew in on MH-60's (Modified) They did not use any experimental helecopters for this or any other missions they do.

It is of course logical that sensitive missions would not be performed with equipment still in the experimental stage.

I love how everybody here is an expert on everything.

You have to fly in low & fast, over the wall and land inside of it as quickly as possible to drop off your team before they get shot up. You dont know if the people inside the wall are armed or how many there may be, or if they heard you coming or not.

There are two other helicopters with you. Its dark.

I guess you could do better than the trained professionals did. Of course you can, because you post on GFY. You're the motherfucking elite.

Captain Kawaii 05-08-2011 01:18 AM

The LEOPARD or the Chrysler piece of shit the DOD bought instead of the Leopard....

Did Chrysler build the M-60 or god forbid, modify it?

No, Chrysler did not. The same people that built the CH-53 built the UH-60. Look it up.
