B of A $45 fee to send an international wire?
I receive a fair amount of wires, both domestic and international and usually only pay $12-$20 fees for the international ones only. Receiving domestic wires are free. I just sent a wire today for the first time in a very long time. Bank of America charged me a $45 fee to send an international wire to Europe. What does your bank charge if anything?
I am sure those with six or seven figure balances are probably getting those fees waived if you are doing a lot of transactions of many types. But for those with regular business accounts with under $100k balances and moderate account activity, does your bank charge similarly? |

That seems high, I believe we pay $35 for Int. wires outgoing.

Int outgoing is $20. Within EU they are free.

Nothing new there.
When I would send to Poland and what not, it was around that much per WIRE. |
it used to be $35, not sure how much it's now, but banks have been raising all their fees lately...
|
It was the same with Wachovia. Not sure about now with Wells Fargo. You can sign up for a business plan that gives them included.... if you do more than 3-4 a year I believe it pays for itself.

I asked my credit union this exact question last week and they told me $40. So maybe that's a common range?

It was $35 for international wire some time ago...

Some banks have a dual pricing for international payments......
One fee where you pay your costs and the recipient pays his local bank costs himself, (reducing the net he receives) and one where you pay all costs so your recipient receives the exact dollars that you send. |
International fees are a ripoff. One cheque I sent off for collection was assessed a whopping $50 fee (!!!) by the originating bank. Then I had to pay another $10 fee to my local bank.
You tell me it costs 50 fucking dollars to receive a bit of paper, deposit it, then send off a reply that it's valid? It's a capitalist system, the fees are probably arbitrary amounts that do not reflect the actual costs of processing, rather what the bank thinks they can get away with (and since no one wants to discount it too much, it will stay that way...) |
i eat babies.

International is $25.
Any incoming wire free. I love my credit union. |
I pay $40 with Citibank.
