Is top shelf liquor really any better for you?
I know it's smoother tasting but is that all you're paying for? Is there anything 'healthier' about it?
I don't normally drink liquor straight with ice, but when I do my favorite so far is gentlemen jack with a little american honey for flavor. mmmm |
I like it in shots,so much smoother
|
Hm, if its shots I could really care less how it tastes, it only lasts a second or so, depends on if I'm trying to impress someone..

Usually the good shit runs about 10 bucks a shot,I like the Tequila
|
my hangovers are a lot better (or non-existent) off better booze.
|
Ah, forgot about the hangover, I dont usually drink enough for that except when I'm playing beer pong.
|
Certain alcohols seem to have slightly different effect, but it usually applies to the type of booze not really the brand- ie getting drunk off tequila feels a little different vs getting drunk from whiskey vs drinking something like absinthe.
I feel that with top shelf you're really paying for the flavor profile and consistency (and occasionally just the bs branding). If you care about taste and how it goes down some top shelfs are totally worth the money- like for example while some may argue over if you can pick out kettle one vs gray goose nearly anyone can tell them apart from a no name bargain bottle- but if you're just drinking to get drunk all that really matters is the proof. Just my 2 cents. |
Alchohol is a poison. There is no way in which it could be healthy for you.
You may as well be drinking lighter fluid. |

For a high and mighty sober person you sure missed the whole point. Never said alcohol is healthy, even though it has its healthy points, I was asking if the more expensive alcohol is HEALTHIER for you.. |
