When life decides to get your attention, theres nothing else to do but accept its advice.

Good luck to you.

Sly_RJ 01-23-2003 01:45 PM

Good luck brother. Don't give up. You will prevail.

el_greco 01-23-2003 01:51 PM

As a cancer survivor I offer you hope. Cancer is not a death sentence anymore. Just listen to the docs, do some research on your own and ask questions if what they say does not make sense to you.

Good luck

good luck man...and at least you stopped smoking now...some people keep smoking.....

I found a lump on my nuts two years ago...freaked me the fuck out cause I thought that I would lose it....

just hope for the best and wait for a prognosis....

LiveDose 01-23-2003 02:02 PM

Sorry to hear that man... It's true a lot of people are beating it these days. Keep your head up. I stopped with the smokes cold turkey about 4 years ago. A pack and a half down to nothing in one day. Best decision I ever made, hopefully it was soon enough...

Good luck bud.

fang 01-23-2003 02:06 PM

Damn that's a kick in the ass... I sure hope things turn out O.K.

jreaka 01-23-2003 02:11 PM

My dad was told he had a year to live when he was diagnosed with lung cancer ...........that was in 1997.

He is still around in 2003, and plans to be here until my Son graduates from H.S. (he is only 7 months old now)

Medication, treatment is better these days, so hang in there!:thumbsup

prostock 01-23-2003 02:17 PM

Jamdin 01-23-2003 02:41 PM

BrutalMaster 01-23-2003 03:01 PM

Good Luck, stay strong!

appleboy 01-23-2003 03:16 PM

they should do a biopsy of the spots to verify if in fact it is cancer and what stage it is. you need the biopsy as quickly as possible and make sure you ask about it today or tomorrow, why did they prescribe 39 pills all for cholesterol , high blood pressure? Sometimes spots are harmless I know someone who had two spots didn't do anything about it and the spots disappeared but they changed their diet to alot of green tea , vegetables and kept smoking believe it or not and it was at least 5 years in between the xrays. keep your hope up and see about the biopsy right away!!!

evildick 01-23-2003 03:37 PM

My brother had a spot on his lung. Turned out to be nothing. I think it was a calcium deposit on one of his ribs. Don't get too down yet.

Gutterboy 01-23-2003 03:41 PM

Sorry to hear that man, medical scares are the fuckin pits. I had one a couple of months ago which turned out to be nothing, but it got me think about some shit I'd put off for far too long. Like Fletch said, these things can be great wakeup calls, and I hope thats all this is for you.

I hope everything goes well, good luck!

cluck 01-23-2003 03:54 PM

I'm in kind of the same situation. I found a lump in my nuts like 2 months ago and I hoped it'd just go away. Instead it's just grown. I know I have to go sometime soon but I'm scared to find out. Good luck with yours

Why are you worried about going? On the off chance you do have what you're scared of.. I assume its testicular cancer thats worrying you.. the sooner you get it treated the better. Waiting can only hurt you.

RottenPug 01-23-2003 05:20 PM

Jim

Sorry to hear that. Not sure how those Doctors are down by you. You may want to come back to the states and see a second one. If you need anything don't hesitate to give me a call.

SR 01-23-2003 05:29 PM

Sorry to hear.
Good u threw those cigs away.
Never touch them again.
You might wanna see another dr or hospital and see what they say.

Good luck and stay away from the cigs.

cluck 01-23-2003 05:35 PM

I just keep telling myself its something else, and hope it'll go away. I guess I should go get it checked out this week. If it is, it's an easy surgery and i'll probably never have another problem.

Now time to give up cigarettes.... really..... i mean it this time oh what the hell :smokin

gothweb 01-23-2003 05:37 PM

Damn, man. Sorry to hear about your tough news. Take care of yourself. You can pull through this.

Wilbo 01-23-2003 05:41 PM

Lance Armstrong had testicular cancer that spread to his brain. The docs gave him a 30% chance of survival. He beat the cancer and came back to win the Tour De France ( argueably the worlds toughest athletic competition ) 4 times in a row. Keep the faith and don't give up.

Rip 01-23-2003 05:44 PM

Best of luck, I would not wish cancer on anyone... but likely over 1/2 of us will deal with cancer of some kind before we die,
-one thing to remember, is doctors have to be matter of fact and unemotional when telling you what's going on, they are also obligated to give you the worst case scenario

Ie; when you are going for heart surgery - you could well die in o/r!
well yes... but there is also a good chance you'll survive and be better

do everything you can to get better, listen to what they say quit smoking, change your diet if necessary... stay positive

all the best sincerely, hope the treatment(s) work as well as they can!

fantasycontent 01-23-2003 05:51 PM

hey man good luck to you seriously I hope everything is ok!!

HungSolo 01-23-2003 05:58 PM

these threads scare me. I quit smoking 6 months ago, and I hope it was in time. I wish I would have quit 10 years ago, though. Good luck, dude. :)
