Best dedicated deal?

I'm currently looking for a dedicated box for my non-adult stuff. See that Inmotion comes up high on several rankings/ratings. A little confused on what ratings are real or not atm.

Most important for me would be a solid box. Not pushing a bunch of traffic and don't need much space.

Anyone?

They are great. I have used them for about 6 years.

Best? Best value, best service, best online 24 7 uptime?

Best can mean so much.

Personally, Im happy paying a few extra quid for 24/7 uptime, great service with communication from the director of the company, Reasonable cost & decent connections.

True dat.

I think the O.P. needs to map out more of the needs he's looking for. Bandwidth, storage, server budget, RAM, and so on.

Depending on many things, I do believe uptime is most important, cost is probably last on the list, when you want good, efficient service also :thumbsup

Jensen,

We do know shit about databases. We also know a lot more shit. We help manage some of the largest sites out there.

I can get you a server setup in one of our three datacenter locations across the USA. If you have the budget, we can also get you a machine in 2 or 3 of our locations and have your website load balanced over all 3 locations for a distributed, redundant, and resilient setup. Our current datacenters are in Los Angeles, Dallas, and Miami.

One of our newer dual cores from Intel would serve you very well, it sounds like.
We include a heap of features and management/accessibility options as well, take a look:

Management / Accessibility Features:
- Private Network Infrastructure
- SSL VPN Secure Tunnel into the Private Network
- Capabilities packed API access to our infrastructure
- 10 / 100 / 1000 Mbps Network Port Speeds
- Automated switching between above Network Port Speeds
- KVM over IP Access to all servers
- Remotely Cycle Server Power (Remote Reboot)
- Automated rDNS record management
- Automated fDNS record management (forward DNS, for domains, etc. Hosted on a redundant w/ hot failover DNS cluster)
- Locally hosted OS Repositories - Accessible over Public AND Private Network
- Automated Remote OS Reloads
- Automated Control of rWHOIS Records
- Real Time Bandwidth Graphs for both Public and Private Networks
- Free PING Server Monitoring
- Free Server Recovery Assistance when monitor alerts unresponsive

We have all manner of configurations available for you and we can build you the best possible one for your needs based on your budget.

Please contact me at chris [2at2] quadranet.com so we can speak really quick about your requirements and budget and I'll get you a nice quote back for you to look over.
