BluCigs, anyone still promoting them?

Looks like they are changing the interface and links AGAIN. I'm glad I don't promote those shady fucks anymore.

candyflip 05-02-2011 12:26 PM

Not since getting fucked out of commissions earned.

Dwreck 05-02-2011 12:35 PM

Oh really they can't be trusted? I wanted to buy them...

Was it because they changed the interface and link structure? :1orglaugh

I really have no right to call them "shady fucks". They never cheated me out of money and I actually made some with them. But this is what the 3rd time changing their entire program in a years time? Shady stuff IMO.

alias 05-02-2011 01:32 PM

They sent me a check out of the blu not too long ago which surprised me because the last time I tried to login I couldn't.

BFT3K 05-02-2011 02:06 PM

I promoted them early on, but within no time my links were switched out without notice.

I definitely DO NOT trust these clowns!

I'd be surprised if they EVER pay out ANYONE.

Is this the 5th time they are changing link codes over the past year?

Smells shitty to me....

CamTraffic 05-02-2011 04:01 PM

I get paid on time every month
When they changed the affiliate back end, i got an email and changed my links
wasn't too complicated :2 cents:

candyflip 05-02-2011 08:38 PM

Shit just stopped working. Sales that had shipped out suddenly disappeared. Eventually I was unable to even long in and check stats.

This was when they were working with AEBN too.

HighlyIntoxicated 05-02-2011 08:52 PM

anyone got a press release about this change? I tried checking my stats earlier today and was being redirected to a different affiliate site.

I fucking hope theyre not changing links again.

maybe you should explain?

HighlyIntoxicated 05-02-2011 09:00 PM

god damnit those fucking assholes. I pay for my links and cant change them up. Here's my email to them:

I have some concerns about the change in affiliate links. This is the second year you guys have changed the link system, and because of it I am losing valuable links I have paid for in the past. If my old links stop working I will no longer be promoting blucigs.

Please look into this and ensure my links will continue to work. I know other webmasters are not happy about changing links, and this will likely cause them to switch to another company.

I have pushed a few thousands dollars in sales through blucigs, and do not appreciate what is happening.

HighlyIntoxicated 05-02-2011 09:04 PM

wow check out their new terms of service:

Your account will be terminated/deactivated if:

Your Account has not been logged into and/or there have been no Transactions credited to Your Account for any thirty (30) day period;

Those shady fucks. Whos the asshole from gfy that introduced the community to them?

LiveDose 05-02-2011 09:06 PM

That really fucking sucks.

19teenporn 05-02-2011 09:07 PM

Motherfuckers...
30 days? You have to be kidding...

what happened? chargebacks?

BradBreakfast 05-02-2011 09:57 PM

The also bought popups from pirate sites like ThePirateBay.org ... they've switched affiliate program links 3 times now, and have not paid everything they owe to all affiliates. They have been contacted several times by people I know, every time they only got lip service.

I will never ever promote their program ever again, no matter who's running it. BluCigs is a garbage brand now and should go next to iBill in the adult-loser museum.

HighlyIntoxicated 05-02-2011 10:01 PM

I've never had problems getting paid, and the conversions were nice, but changing up the links is killing it for me.

Jakez 05-02-2011 10:05 PM

After reading some of these posts, I can't understand wtf happened to me now.

I had initially signed up and spent like 30 bucks or something promoting them as a test, I figured it's a more mainstream product so it should convert better and I should get some kind of "go or no" results from a measly $30. But I didn't get anything, so I ditched it, it's not my thing. 2 months later I get a check in the mail for $120. Cool! Apparently it takes a while before people buy anything. I go back and start pushing them more, spent like 100 bucks and decided to stop then and give it a couple months ago and see what comes of it. Never saw another sale at all. And meanwhile I was having problems with all of my traffic showing up in their stats and all they could say was "Sorry, we will tell you when the system is working correctly". Looks like my links my account must have been deactivated or some shit..

glowlite 05-02-2011 10:17 PM

Maybe you should research the companies you represent as affiliates before you pre-sell them to your hard earned traffic. If they're fucking their own affiliates then they might just be fucking their clients. Ya think?

It's so funny to hear a bunch of porn slingers bitch about getting fucked. Now you know how your 'clients' must feel when you lead them astray.

My BlueCig experience (from another forum)

Here is part of a thread I posted about a year ago on another forum: (May 2010)

5/28/2010: "I signed up to promote Blucigs back in April of 2009. Selling very well for about a month, until all of a sudden, my conversions went to -0-, while click-thru traffic actually increased. Several people that I knew personally made purchases through my websites (including my sister) that never showed up as sales in my stats. I even emailed the order numbers to BlueCig support, but those sales never did show up in my stats. The products, however, were eventually delivered.

After emailing everyone (April, Jordan, Support) at AEBN/Blucig, I expected the issue to get resolved. It has never been resolved, and needless to say I stopped promoting Blucigs on my websites.

I can understand a decrease in conversions, but to go from 1:39 to -ZERO- in one month? And not because my traffic decreased, it actually increased. My click-thrus increased. And it happened completely at the end of a month. Increased traffic yet zero conversions. Some confirmed sales too. It did not make sense.

I was disappointed in not being able to get this issue resolved and I'm sorry to say this did not have a happy ending. I still don't understand why AEBN failed to investigate this problem."

6/8/2010: "I finally received a response from the AEBN/BlueCig folks.

Although they have "access" to their old system, where all of the data is, they can't identify all of the traffic/conversions that I sent to their site beginning 6/1/09.

My stats at the time indicated the traffic I sent to them was increasing on a daily basis. I had received my initial check from them for around $400 (for the month of May). Beginning 6/1/09, the clicks increased substantially but my sales went from 1:32 to -zero-. Not ONE sale for the entire month of June 2009.

After several months of emails and no response from them, I discontinued promoting BluCigs and removed their Ads/banners and posts from all of my blogs.

My stats at the time showed over 1,000 hits sent to their site for the month of June 2009.

Their response to me:

Quote:

I may be able to credit 4 commissions from starter kits purchases. Commissions from starter kit purchases are $11.99 each (or they were back in June 2009).
We can add another two and offer four, but please be aware that would only amount to $47.96.
I've explained to management what happened but my hands are tied at this point.
I'm very disappointed after all of the hard work I did to promote them. I would have started to promote them again had their "settlement" offer been a little more realistic. The problem belonged to them and originated with their affiliate system. I didn't contribute to the problem and was very effective at delivering traffic.

I'm also surprised at their response and expected more from a company like AEBN. Not a happy ending."

pumpercloggs 05-02-2011 11:12 PM

shady fucking assholes! screwed me out of sales too....

Chosen 05-02-2011 11:27 PM

HighlyIntoxicated 05-03-2011 09:07 AM

any one else hear back from them?

HighlyIntoxicated 05-03-2011 09:09 AM

yep looks like theyve already shut down old links. I've tried clicking on some of mine, and they redirect to blucigs but the clicks never shows up in stats.

Fucking blucigs, good job killing yourselves.

adanac 05-03-2011 10:31 AM

I heard "Will the Farter" aka Brutal Master pushing them On Howard Stern a few weeks back.

I bought a kit from BluCigs for my brother as a present. No problems. He doesn't use the thing though :1orglaugh

HighlyIntoxicated 05-03-2011 02:23 PM

wow to make things even worse, it looks like they are now on a net-60 payment schedule..

pornsprite 05-03-2011 08:36 PM

I signed up to promote them last year and they never got back to me. Just yesterday they send me an email telling with my login credentials. I purged the email screw em.

marlboroack 05-03-2011 09:14 PM

I promoted them and i didn't get paid twice.

Robbie 05-03-2011 09:18 PM

I signed up last week.

They changed their shit yesterday on me!

I wrote the new affiliate program atrinsic.com and got a prompt response yesterday:

"Thank you for your email about the blu affiliate program.

They have just migrated to our network from their old network effective today. You should be receiving an email with a temporary password shortly.

Please be sure to change out all links to our network links by May 16th and ensure you do not bid on any blu brand terms in any search engine.

Regards,
Samantha"

I still haven't gotten my new password to the affiliate area. I'm giving it until tomorrow and then writing back and then if nothing happens...I'm pulling all the links down.
