Exercise equipment for people with disabilities
I currently distribute/sell a few different products that are designed to help people with disabilities exercise, I use one myself. I'm looking for more products like this that I could sell.
It's actually quite difficult to find products like this when you don't know what challenges other people face, so that's why I'm asking a large audience such as GFY. All of us have relatives or friends that have suffered a serious injury, stroke, suffer from a myriad of diseases... what are they doing for exercise, if anything at all? Please feel free to post any links, suggestions, or stories that you may have. This topic is of great importance to me and I love hearing how others have overcome their challenges. Thanks! |
Bump for you Sly.
Sounds like a very interesting selling area especially since you are personally affected. |
bump!
It's a great idea, but I wonder if there may be too many variables given the wide range of disabilities? |
I'm a big proponent of swimming for pretty much everyone. I could see an Endless Pool being used in some OT/PT situations.

this sounds really interesting, could you give a couple examples?
Would this equipment to a certain extent crossover with rehab training equipment? I was just checking what the german market has to offer for ideas to link to as Germany is very proactive in this area I think. |

This is my site: www.abilicize.com Still doing a lot of work on the site but this will give you an idea. Thanks for the replies so far, I do like the swimming suggestion. I saw a special therapist once that could not stop talking about hydro therapy. |
