how can you proud of something that has nothing to do with you ? I am from Belgium and Belgium is boring ..

I am Dutch and I think it is stupid to be proud of something you have absolutely no control over...

I used to be but if Sweden keep having it's doors open to all these immigrants then there's nothing Swedish left to be proud of.

You don't know Americans very well. A good majority are still embarrased to admit they're American and ashamed that we elected a president that assfucked the world. Then we elected him again just in case we didn't fuck enough people the first time.

Some of us are ashamed that our country is run by war mongers with a world police mentality.

And that's why it's the same here aswell.

We have nothing left to be proud of. So many immigrant's have come in, taken over, had the rules changed, and we have to deal with it.

I've been laughing at all these British people at the Royal Wedding today with their silly little Union Jack flags boasting about how good it is to be British.

These same people will be going back home to reality soon enough...

My father died when I was nine months old and I had little contact with my father's side of the family. When I was thirty-five or so my grandmother died, and they asked me to fly home for the funeral. I didn't know her well, but it had been a long time since I had been "home" to New Jersey so I went. I met the family historian, who also teaches genealogy at a local college. I was stunned when I discovered I was Irish. I had no idea.

In hindsight, it makes perfect sense.

My father is from France, mother American of Irish descent. Since most people hate Americans and the French, I am proud to be both. :)

I live in Indonesia 9 months and China the remainder of the year. The pace of life is more suitable to me here than back home. The conveniences arent the same, but I dont need a walmart, mcdonalds or starbucks on every corner to be happy:upsidedow

the only people who are proud of their nationality and show it is Italians and Puerto Ricans. No one else slaps flags of their nation on their old beater cars then these two combined :1orglaugh

btw, I am Italian and proud but I don't go beating people with pasta noodles and hanging flags all over everything I own

Yep, I am, more than a few years ago.

I'm Canadian, and quite like being able to travel the world with a Canadian passport. Nobody hates Canadians. We're just the big friendly country.
