Why is www.gofuckyourself.com suddenly redirecting to gfy.com?

yeah it sucks ! just noticed .. this must literally have happened couple of seconds ago .. as I now had to log in again on gfy.com RIP gofuckyourself.com .. this is a sad day

That's great actually,i wanted to propose that but totally forgot about it.It was irritating everytime when someone was posting a link to gfy thread/profile whatever to other domain other then gfy.com and then it was not working properly due to not being logged in at that other domain.

OK, this is stupid. The site is called GoFuckYourself.com (it even says so in the header image) and now they are redirecting it to some other domain. Thank you for making the site harder to navigate. Thank you for killing my browser history.

In regards to the browser history, isn't that only going to be an issue for you guys for a day or two? And do you really read that many threads? LOL.

I guess now that there is a "Mainstream Business Discussion" forum, they want to avoid using the f-word in their marketing... :)

As others wrote above, we did the change partly for seo reasons and also coz as others posted, was a bit confusing as a user experience. Frankly I find it a bit absurd having 5-6 domains mirroring the same content and Eric was getting constantly complaints about it.
Almost 70% of us is using gfy.com according to thhe stats and thats why we selected it, nothing to do with mainstream fantasies etc. Logo remains and always will, clearly says go fuck yourself, how could this ever change :)

I dont understand about the browser history, still you can use it and link will redirect properly, please msg us if you have any problems. Member Logins are indeed an issue and the programmers are looking at it right now to sync everything.

We try to make it better for everyone, the hosting migration went very smooth and now with a lot of work done in the DBs its running much faster and even the search partly works, that was an eternal issue.

We are working in a big update in the search functions to finally fix it 100%, addding a heavily modified version of sphinx and hopefully next week will be live adding some really nice elelments.

I used gofuckyourself.com for years because I am not lazy... But then when people would get me on ICQ or Email and reference a thread, 70% of the time they used GFY.com and another 10% they used some other domain...

So I made the switch to GFY earlier in the year.. will be nice to have everyone on the same domain.
