caller IDCarbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants

I used to get sale calls all the time, it was fun to fuck with them. But last year I thought why the hell have a land line, the only calls I got were BS stuff, so I got rid of it. Cell phone only now.

Just got a new home phone for the first time in over 5 yrs. It happens at least 5 times per week. Probably some automated bill collection calls for the previous owner of that number.Comment

That kind of call is a telemarketer, they're either checking if your # works or they're automated dialers waiting to see if its a voice mail or real person.

i worked at a call center in my youth. that's just autodialer. there is a gap between when you pick up and you can communicate.Comment

And I wont answer it if the person is so fucking paranoid that they pay extra to have their name and/or number blocked from being displayed on caller ID. Don't want me to know who you are? Haven't had a call like that in years, since moving strictly to mobile/online numbers. In fact the only one I know who gets calls like that is my grandfather.
