Redoing Home Office... Suggestions?

I'm kinda getting tired of the same setup, wanted to get something a little different going so I whipped up an idea below.

I'm repainting the room and adding a few pictures to change it from a once used-to-be kids room to more of an office feel. However, I'm in decided on how to change things around and worried about how my current TV setup will interfere.

First, the TV is mounted on the wall, small 27" lcd with hires hidden in the walls etc. If I want to watch TV now, I have to look over to my left about 60 degrees... not all that bad. However, If I change the room around, the TV will be just above the left right monitor, but at a greater distance and not sure if that will cause any interference while working (not being distracted but seeing the image).

Thoughts?

Here is the current layout of the room:

Here is how the TV appears:

Here is my other option:

And this is what the TV view would look like:

Any other suggestions? I can move the TV, would just be a minor headache

I think you're putting to much effort in it...

nah, took me all about 10 minutes to think about it. Id rather think first, then move everything and think "shit, this sucks" and have it move it all back

If I had people coming in and out, I'd set it up with desk facing door in a typical power position and work around that.

From your initial plan, you could just turn your desk and chair counter clockwise 45 degree's.

My plan is going to be driven by the fact that this office heats up like crazy from morning til noon, so I'm moving my chair towards the cross breeze and away from the outside wall.

How easily distracted are you?

I have a 50" plasma tv in my office and it is never turned on because it stops me from working. Next thing I'm watching the news, then a home improvement show and then playing xbox.

TV is evil.

I mainly have it on as background noise. Somehow during my move last year I lost my computer speakers so need something to keep me from going crazy listening to odd noises in the house and the cats lick themselves.

I've had this setup now for about 6 months and never had a problem getting distracted much but sure helps to look away from the computer for a few minutes and see whats going on in the news, sports, etc.

I think thats what we used when we were designing our family room and worked out pretty well. My only concern is the TV being in direct view over the far right monitor and would play games on my eyes :1orglaugh

Id love to put the TV on the opposite wall its now and flip the desk & chair 180 degrees so I have a better view outside, which is down the street and better mountains, but would be a huge pain in the ass to run the wires since that is a outside wall with foam insulation
