never happens with XP

I had Win XP on my laptop and that thing was a truck... this W2K is shit...

Tried'm I went back 2 win98.

running xp on a dell and no crashes yet in 3 months with the pc on and being used about 16 hours a day...mostly to surf porn but still :1orglaugh

win95 = sucks major ass
win98 = was good when there was nothing else
winXP = cartooney, non-compatible version of win98
win2k = the absolute shiznit!!!


I have contests with my friends who can continue their daily webmaster activities and get the best uptime, on win98 i used to get 3 weeks streight and on winXP i get about 4-5 weeks. On win2k i get EASILY 3 months!!!

All the guys who do this with me are all on win2k now and we all see the same thing ... after about 2 months or so, the system starts running slower and shit ... eventually you just have to reboot.

blue screen of death doesn't mean it's a problem with windows

if you write down and research the stop number you'll find out.

well it happened after I downloaded an "Update" from Microsoft website...

so as far as I'm concerned it is microsoft's fault.

plus it is too late now -- everything on C is gone :(

I always have several partitions - one set a side for data that needs to backed up

Xp can be cartoony when you first install it.


but after a few clicks it looks EXACTLY like Win2k and is stable as hell.

The system i have ..

I have a c:\ d:\ and e:\


The ONLY thing on c:\ is my windows. If and when the OS crashes, i just format c:\ and reinstall. Nothing lost.
