Quality or Quantity?

I find myself in a constant pickle...lol.. Trying to go for quantity at times then quality at times. Today...what is most important when developing anything in your opinion?

quantity... get practice first, perfect it, then go for quality :thumbsup

loreen 04-22-2011 11:44 AM

Depends on what it is. We have had both type of programmers and it was useful to have various work styles in regards to that. Tom was a quantity guy, would make small mistakes but easily fixable and could plow through things. Now, with our new sites and projects we like to take the Quality angle.

I think a lot depends on the project.

above all of these 2 is usability

if my site have amazing quality but awkward for use it is no good

i always make sure my project have easy "flow" for use, design quality can even be shitty then

of course if my site have great upsell and i want people to leave to this then make it awkward navigation...

same with site i gear purely to adsense...

make promise of what they look to find, then no real good content so adsense ad have more information

I find that if you build quality, quantity will come

Paul Markham 04-22-2011 03:03 PM

Which one can you do?

No good asking which one to do if you're not able to do them.

Going the quantity route today is tough and make a living. You're competing with guys who've been doing the same for years.

Going the quality route is easier said than done.

In fact both easier said than done.

Both.

ContentPimp 04-22-2011 11:45 PM

Without question quality. that means rather than doing ten blogs will 30 posts each do one with 300 then focus all your link building and on page ctr optimization and achieve better success plus you wont have a ton of renewal fees and instead of apending 100 on ten domains buy a quality kw domain on auction for 100

produce what is called for in the market you target. rolls royce produces and sells x number of units for x amount while toyota produces and sells x number of units for x amount. rolls royce has been bought out by VW, toyota owns the majority of toyota.

The word "quintity" fits this better in this biz ...

Seems that the BMW Group owns Rolls-Royce and VW owns Bentley now ...
