Looks like Epic Cash gets the distinction of being the first link pull-ee.

We need to investigate further and find out whether he actually had any links at the time and whether they were indeed pulled.

My theory is that no one who has ever said "links pulled" has actually pulled links in connection with the actual comment. Either because they didnt have any to begin with or because they were to fucking lazy or because they were just talking shit.

When affiliates were making large bank and could act like they had a large stick up their ass while programs sucked their cocks to get them promoting, affiliates would talk about pulling links all day the minute a program did anything that rubbed them the wrong way.

Affiliate with lots of traffic and lots of links

Program doing something shady, slimey, or sloppy
= Affiliate "pulling" their links.
