he puts his money where his mouth is when it comes to charity - he gave 14% of his 2010 income to charities. which i'm going to guarantee is well above 95% of anybody in here :)

the average % that goes to charity for people above $100,000 is 3.1% - couldn't find the number for those over $1,000,000 but from some older stats in the 90's looks like 5.x%

American supposedly is the most charitable country on the planet, Europe very low. Which is mostly explainable because socialistic countries believe the government is in the charity business - and that's true.

14% of your income isn't shit when you don't have to pay for shit. I would give 50% to charity if someone paid my mortgage, car payments, travel money, vacation money, food, clothing, etc.........

Take a look at his 2010 tax records and judge for yourself. Obama made almost a million dollars more than GWB did in 2007. And look at Michelle Obama's taxes. She made almost half a million doing what?

Bill Gates is a terrific person. Yes, charitable donations are tax deductible but if you're rich and give away a million dollars to charity it's still $500,000 out of your pocket.

He gave it for a tex deduction.
Obama claims he can pay the higher tax rate, then DO IT.
