Yeah, as if he just "lit one up" you wouldn't be here shouting about how he
is unfit to be president because of it.

:helpme

Change your nick to "Viagra", because you have a hard-on for Obama that just
won't quit.

It seems you have the hard on for him by ignoring his lies and attacking me for it. I have no problem with people smoking pot, but your reading level is about 3RD grade otherwise you would know that.

Or are you defending him for saying he wouldn't go after the collectives unless they were breaking both federal and state laws and then raiding those collectives?

Wait I know, when someone calls him a liar, they are racist right?

Get a clue!

Yawn, more pathetic misdirected hate with zero research done....

They were trafficking the medical pot on the street... the STATES informed the Feds, which did the bust because it's a FEDERAL crime.

It had nothing to do with the Obama admin or anyone in his admin going out and busting medical dispensaries.

TheDoc 04-19-2011 12:02 PM

Article: http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/...ids18_ST_N.htm

Montana U.S. Attorney Michael Cotter said there was "probable cause that the premises were involved in illegal and large-scale trafficking of marijuana."

"When criminal networks violate federal laws, those involved will be prosecuted," he said.

ok ok I have a one year old and spent about three minutes posting this... appreciate any input setting straight news propaganda because I know it happens all day.

I see now that these facts are being hashed out. I do want to know the truth because it is a cause of mine and will say my vote next time if this asshole doesn't RESCHEDULE cannabis like he claimed he would, if even loosely when saying he would end the prosecutions. At least I was hopeful he would get to that but the fact is more money in the drug war.

I am having a busy day though, so that's that. :upsidedow

I think if the president says he is stopping all federal raids on collectives unless they breaking federal and state laws, someone should come out and say why the weho area is under attack.
Remembering that it's decriminalized in California by Arnold before he left office

Does he have the power to reschedule it? I have no idea... prosecution wise I think that's related to medical pot, so far it appears good to go.

It's going to be the IRS that will end up taking out dispensaries though. They get no write off's on sales of an illegal substance, they're just all going to go belly up.

eh? if they run a legit accounting of the sales, then i don't see how the irs will take them out.

All raids? I'm pretty sure that was related to medical pot. Just because it's a dispensaries doesn't mean it wasn't breaking State and Federal laws.

Trafficking of uncontrolled/unregistered Pot (whatever it's called) is not legal in California.

The news normally says what's up with a quote from someone, otherwise the paper will always print it - if an ongoing investigation isn't happening.

Because they aren't allowing them to deduct the pot and many things related to it as an expense. It's in the tax code that earned income/costs, everything related from illegal-federal actions isn't an allowable tax write off or benefit of any kind.

"The IRS is thought to have begun audits on at least 12 medical marijuana dispensaries in California under the determination that past business deductions are invalid because of a clause in the federal tax code prohibiting any business that traffics in Schedule I or II drugs from making business deductions on their tax returns. The move could bankrupt every dispensary that it targets. The first dispensary to receive a final audit decision from the IRS is the Marin Alliance for Medical Marijuana (MAMM) in Fairfax, Calif."

+ dispensaries all state you are making a donation right? they are counselors advising you on which strains to get.

i mean it's all bogus, we all know that. nevertheless, the revenues are insane and i don't see why the irs would NOT want those tax dollars.

cherrylula 04-19-2011 01:43 PM

I will add that my sister worked briefly at a dispensary in LA and applied at a few others, it was a joke. I know they are all not ran that way and they did force many to close I heard, but man oh man it was some black dude from NY running the place and he was paying underage illegal mexicans to run things... lol the stories. I know a lot of the places are still selling illegally to those who don't want to get cards, and my old bud connects back in LA none of them supported the legal way because they didn't want to lose profit... lol.

I still support my right to smoke a plant, or eat it raw even. lol

dyna mo 04-19-2011 01:44 PM

isn't the #1 cash crop in the u.s. marijuana? irs doesn't want a piece of that? hmmmmmmmm.

I think the're trying to make the prices go up.... this is just step 1.1

Like everything 'good' in this Country, the fed, state and local will screw it to death in taxes, just need a few more years. And if it really ends up making crazy money, I think they're just push it to the markets, buy on speculation.. then the prices will really go up.

It has the word Medical attached to it, nothing in this Country with that word attached to it stays cheap for long.

that's why i like it all as it is right this very moment. it's all skirting the law and works perfect, just need the irs to go along.
