Olive Garden Lied

Those fucking bastards. Their commercials talk about a cooking school in France. Bullshit.

Quote:

NewsFeed took the trouble to fact check the claims. Yes, there is a a beautifully restored rustic farmhouse - a common occurrence in a region that lives off high end gourmet tourism - located in an 11th century hamlet. There's a restaurant, but there's no school, per se. (See how foodies can eclipse [EM] and save [EM] the Green Movement.)

A spokesperson for the hotel confirmed that there's an agreement in place between them and Olive Garden. Olive Garden sends about a dozen people each week in the off-season between November and March. Their chef spends some time with them in the kitchen, but there's no school and the restaurant does not own anything there. The house and the restaurant belong, in fact, to a local wine label. (See Mario Batali, celebrity chef, back in the kitchen.)
Fucking bastards.

Ah fuck them anyway. I've always liked Macaroni Grill or local Mom and Pop places better anyway.

Olive Garden salad was a meal in itself for me - was so pissed off when the two anywhere near me closed. I have no idea why they closed, always were busy. There are a ton of American chains that have come up to Canada and then decide it isn't worth it. Krispy Kreme is another one, Chi Chi's Mexican restaurant which I also liked did the same, Outback Steakhouse closed near me

They claim to have a cooking school in France? This makes Mama Luccia cry.

I couldn't remember the last time I ate at an Olive Garden really. This was during a "family thing" in San Diego and all I was told was that we were going to lunch. Turned to be pretty good really.

We used to have a place here called the Lincoln Deli that was an old fashioned Italian deli. I become good friends with the owner. I would in, no ordering, and he would just make me something different each time. It was great. I was so bummed when they closed.

No complaints with Olive Garden food. It's dirty cheap and relatively tasty. Successful as well. They always seems to be packed for business.

Why would they go to France to learn about Italian cooking?

V_RocKs 04-19-2011 06:37 AM

Nothing like finding a used condom on the floor under your table.
