Lakers will bounce. They will go out in WCF, just not yet. Spurs lost by just 3 points without their main player, but he'll be back next game. With Parker-Duncan-Manu playing, Grizz have no biz in these playoffs

adultchatpay 04-17-2011 04:57 PM

it's so hard to predict this year

PornMD 04-17-2011 06:08 PM

With all the hype having surrounded the Heat this year, most of it coming from themselves, I'd love to see them bounce out early. I don't care much about b-ball but am sort of a Laker's fan as they are in SoCal, but I would like to see someone new get it for once. Grizzlies would be awesome in that regard, lol.

It would be awesome to see the Bulls win a title on the 20th anniversary of their first title. With D-Rose, it's very likely.

Celtics off to a good start!

Tight game though.

FlexxAeon 04-17-2011 06:57 PM

shaping up to be like 2009 playoffs (one of the greatest of last 2 gens imo)

Not really. Nothing has even come close to the Jordan era but this one has the potential.

well...i said 'one of'. playoffs are sometimes kind of meh, with blowouts and 'expected' outcomes, including some of those jordan era ones. 2009 playoffs was crazy

Huh? The Jordan era didn't have anywhere near the parity of this years playoffs. Back then there were many lopsided series and sweeps, not gonna be like that this year. I can't ever remember the playoffs starting with the 1st and 2nd seed in the West losing and the 1st , 2nd and 3rd seeds in the East barely squeeking out wins.

bbobby86 04-18-2011 12:41 AM

totally right... this years playoffs will be very interesting... a lot of great teams plays...

Frankthefreakintank 04-18-2011 10:02 AM

Celtics won't win that trade hurt them too much losing Perk. Whoever wins between OKC and LAL takes its I think, Chicago is a year away

Celtics do look good .. YAY good win! I am not counting the Lakers out yet but I am not sure either my Celtics or Lakers have it this year.. I like OKC and Bulls they are both good tough teams... If my Celtics don't make I hope the FAKERS don't make it!

cosis 04-18-2011 11:14 AM

Rupaul would need to step it up big time for the Heat to have a shot.

NETbilling 04-18-2011 11:44 AM

I sure hope the Lakers get it together.

Tight game though.

You call that a good start? A lucky offensive foul call on Melo? You guys are going out in 6 games to the Knicks. Even with Billups out. The Celtics are on year 4 of their 3 year plan.... it's over. If The Knicks don't knock them out they are gonna be beat up enough by the time they have to play Miami that they'll get swept by Miami. remember... regular season records dont mean shit in the playoffs.

I didn't say all the Jordan years.. However, basketball hasn't been remotely as exciting since Jordan retired in 98. This year may be the most exciting since that era.

Miami? ROFL.. A team that needed for the Celtics to implode to finally beat them? Miami isn't sweeping anybody.

You dont think they are sweeping the 76ers? I would love to see Miami lose... hate the team to death. but lets be realistic... the 76ers are a joke. Every good playoff team in history has had two very simple things... Great overall team play and a go-to-guy they can count on in those late game situations. The 76ers have great team play but who is their go-to-guy? Iggy? Brand (that guy hasnt been able to jump up a street curb in the last 5 years). This is also another reason why Chicago will take it all... great team play and a go-to-guy

I'll bet you $50 that the Sixers win at least 1 game, maybe 2.

FlexxAeon 04-18-2011 09:05 PM

Offensive foul and a miss 3 point by Melo .. Yes it was a good start.. when you start with a win

bushwacker 04-20-2011 01:46 PM

The knicks were in that game, and didn't have two of their best players.

If you're a Jordan/Bulls fan of course it hasn't been as exciting cause your team has missed the playoffs almost every year since he left. There wasn't much excitement or anticipation during the Jordan years cause they just marched through the playoffs and won it all. Now that there are more mega stars, better guard play and an overall faster pace, the last few years have been much more exciting. So have you ditched the Pistons and rooting for the Bulls now?

That was Phil Jackson's bonehead error, he was forced to put Gasol on Dirk at the end because he had subbed out Odom and then called a timeout. You can't sub during a timeout so he was forced to put Gasol on Dirk which isn't a good matchup in that situation because Dirk can put it on the floor and go to the goal. Of course Pau ended up committing a stupid foul on the inbounds making Jackson look like a rookie coach.
